Yeah and he still didn't win.

How this does anything other than point to a easy win for a fitter, more relaxed more focused, more prepared Cobra is a mystery to me.

Get your hard earned on an early knockout for Carl.

I'm sure Carl would like his balls back from your mouth by now.

The only way Froch loses is if he has got old over night, but looking at his life style, all ways in shape, and never bloated with to much extra wht I don't think that's going to happen Sataday night, a more focused Carl this time is a mean machine,

Whoever wins the fight, it should be a really good war while it lasts, much better fight than PPV fights..............

Which is why he needs to keep the punch output high

he wont be able to sword fence against froch so unless groves can find the sweetspot between punch output and having energy for the later rounds i can see him getting beat again

So based on first fight there is no way groves can win and his performance was a fluke?

    Tough one to call, this.

Problem I'm having is that the more i watch the first fight, the more legitimate the stoppage becomes. Groves WAS in all kinds of trouble at that point, but it's also my opinion that Carl was knackered and it was his last throw of the dice. GG comes out for the 10th fully recovered and I think he would have stopped him.

Going out on a limb I think GG has Carl wound up again and ready to go to war. First 5 will be Groves countering, sticking and moving. How the second half pans out depends on how much damage Carl Takes in the initial phase. What happens here is anyone's guess.

I really don't see the logic in this. IMO Froch was moments away from stopping a very tired and spent G Groves. I know you disagree but.....just because Froch takes more shots doesn't mean he loses the fight. Fact is Groves cannot take a shot nearly as well and so will get stopped easier/with less punishment than Froch.

To me, it's like saying 'shot-on-target' wins football matches....which I'm afraid it doesn't.

Froch KO or multiple knock-downs late in the fight to win on points.

More like Froch getting knocked down multiple times before he either gets stopped, or the ref or McCracken calls a halt.

I don't see the logic in this since, IMO, Froch was moments away from stopping G Groves first time round. George gassed and Froch caught up with him, that will happen 9/10 times I think due to the relentless nature of Froch and his ability to take punishment.

They don't award football trophies for 'shot-on-target' and likewise boxing doesn't award people for winning rounds up to the point of stoppage.

Groves either gets stopped inside the distance or has multiple knock-downs late on to lose a points win. Perhaps Groves has the mentality and skill to 'do a Ward' and frustrate Carl all night but I don't see this happening in front of 80,000 at Wembley.

I'm more than willing to eat humble pie if the result goes against Froch but I cannot use what I saw in the first fight as good reason why Groves wins the second encounter....just makes no sense to me.:?

I love how froch getting a beating for the majority of the first fight has somehow been translated into meaning froch was unfit, unfocused and unprepared. That's a get out and I'm not buying it. This is the same fighter who prides himself on professionalism and not cutting corners but somehow some want us to believe last time out he didn't care. That's BS and just a weak excuse.

Groves split from his long term trainer/manager weeks before the fight, had to find a new trainer and all that comes with it weeks before the biggest fight of his career yet Froch was the unprepared of the two? On what planet is that even feasible?

Wouldn't Groves be the one who benefits from a more settled camp without the distractions of last time?
