The mayweather- maidana fight was one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had watching a fight.

First, the fight itself was somewhat entertaing, but predictable. I knew mayweather would win 9 or 10 rounds and that maidana would bum rush and miss wildly all night... that was a given.

What was weird was how they played the mexican national anthem when NEITHER fighter is from mexico. That was just plain weird....

Then the showtime crew, led by paulie malignaggi kept insisting that maidana had "dominated" the early rounds.

It got even weirder when the promoter was told that he HAD to make a rematch because, apparently the fight had been so "close and competitive" (which it was not) and that floyd would be scared to fight maidana again.

Then it got even weirder STILL when the crowd lifted up maidana as a hero and called him the winner. My folks kept asking me "did maidana win?" I kept telling them: "no, they just announced the judges decision...easy win for mayweather. "...but they didn't believe me, because they had never seen a guy get dominated and lose the decision and still be lifted up by the jubilant crowd.

So, somebody tell me the truth about whats' REALLY going on here.

    My theory is this:

    - Fans now believe mayweather is unbeatable. so, they no longer care about the outcome. His victory is a foregone conclusion. So they are gonna pretend like his opponent won, (even if that opponent got dominated) and celebrate thatg guy's "victory", goddammit, because that lie is easier to handle than the truth.

    - This theory of mine suggests that there are a lot of mentally disturbed fans out there. I believe that the frustration of seeing mayweather dominate everytime has driven many in the (espeicially latino) fanbase insane.

    - These fans are so insane that they are driven to make up a fiction that gives them comfort. A fantasy such as "maidana dominated the early rounds" and "maidana almost beat floyd...floyd is scared of a rematch."

    - my other theory is that many of these fans beleived that broner and floyd were really the same guy. so, if maiidana beat broner, he was gonna beat floyd. so they held onto this desperate hope with all their being...and what you had in the end was a mass hypnosis... a mass delirium of fans who had hoped and prayed so hard that they basically hallucinated what they wanted to see.

maybe somebody else has a view about this?

You dont watch much boxing do you?

There have been countless times where the loser has been paraded like he won the fight.

Do you have any more lunatic theories or is this the best your broke ass brain can come up with? And giving 9 or 10 rounds to Duckweather plus this pathetic delusional thread shows that if anyone is mentally disturbed is your wellfare abuser ass.

you score your fights based on the number of punches missed.

lol@ "countless times the loser has been paraded like hee won the fight"...give me a couple of examples.

And actually, I do have another theory....it goes like this: There's no other latino challengers left, since floyd's complete domination has wiped them all out. So, maidana was really the last latino hope. he was the last stand of latino boxing. Even though floyd beat him like an rented mule, they have nobody else, so they want a rematch so they can continue to live in their delusion. they're even throwing aroudn cotto's name...as if floyd beating his a88 like a child first time was not enough. They're trying to bore floyd into losing a fight... Like I said, emotionally disturbed.

Well, I for one am not gonna pay again to see floyd make target practice out of some clown who can only hit the air.

8-4 Floyd, they celebrating Maidana because it wasn't a total wipe out which is the norm when Floyd fights. Remember this been going on since 1998 when Floyd dethroned Chicanito Hernandez, they been waiting a long time to see Floyd lose, so a close fight deserves a parade!

Most of Maidanas punches were wild, hitting arms, Mayweathers back and the back of his head, these punches do NOT score, even if he throws and lands a large amount.

OP were you high when you watched the fight?
I saw the fight LIVE I was sitting next to B-Hop and we both agreed Chino won the fight by 3 rounds.

Yeah but Tards score it though, even the head but, low blows, knee, bites, and tackles, they view all that as Maidana winning the fight.

Every time Acelino Freitas lost he was paraded around the ring as if he won even after quiting in a fight.

    Anymore questions *****?
