I think Gonzales has a huge chance here to go overseas and get a decent win. Gonzales will be ready. This is on the undercard of the Froch-Groves II card. You either use a lot of movement with plenty of feints and in and out attacks, like what George Groves did in beating him, or you come straight at DeGale and power through him. Either way can be effective against him. But Gonzales isnt the type of fighter who uses a lot of movement, and I dont expect him to be able start using movement for this fight. Hes too slow-footed to use movement, and if he tries to do that for this fight then hes going to struggle. The way for Gonzales to beat DeGale is to just go at him and beat him down with straight shots, and smother his offense by staying close to him. If DeGale is forced to fight on the inside for 12 rounds, hes going to get beaten up, because DeGale cant fight a lick on the inside. It definitely will be exciting. I think that Gonzales can win. Just hope its a fair call by the judges either way.
This fight is going under the radar. Intriguing fight, and a hard fight for Degale. Degale has a habit of coasting during rounds and against Gonzalez he good give away a lot of close rounds.
Gilfoid always picks against the British fighter. so what he says means nothing. i agree Gonzales is tough, and will give Degale a good hard fight, but i see Degale getting a comfortable points win.
eh? do you not know much about gilfoid? everybody knows the guy is a notorious troll who writes controversial articles just for hits, he always picks against the brit fighters for a start, he may big up an underdog in one article when in a later fight when that guy is the favourite he will rip that same fighter to shreds anyway, from what ive seen of Gonzalez he is average at best, got a lucky win against Ossie Duran, his only hope is if Degale seriously underperforms
Gonzales is a decent fighter, Degale has a lot to prove. It will almost certainly go the distance with Degale getting a 7-5 8-4 type of score. Gonzales is probably worth a little bet at 4/1 though.

It took all of 2 rds for DeGale to begin pummeling Gonzales. Gonzales for all his toughness lasted til the 4th. Nice KO win for DeGale:thumbsup
