True, although the division still has options for Froch even with a loss. I'm utterly convinced George will win. I'm yet to see anyone give a tangible/technical reason for Froch winning this. It's all hypothetical 'he'll take him seriously'/'george will tire'/'carl can't be as bad as last time'.
Yep. If Carl and Defail lose, well... Eddie is really in the sh*t. Eddie has made a massive schoolboy error in being chums with Carl. If GG wins by a genuine stoppage (see stoppage that doesn't warrant a rematch ala out cold) the Sauerlands will be laughing all the way to the bank!
I think groves wins...based on an old rule I follow of picking the man on the way up not the man on the way down. but....another poster, jack, made a good point....froch says he wasnt prepared last time, that can be taken with a pinch of salt.....but...he did fight that fight carrying the effects of a very hard knockdown in round one which would have ko'd many a super-middle or light-heavy...and that would have effected his performance throughout the fight.

He'll deserve it if Groves wins. He was promoting both guys, he should have at least tried to remain neutral. Probably a big reason why Groves has signed with Sauerland.
It won't be long before Ward moves up to LHW (when his promoter issue has been rectified), and before then he isn't even fighting regularly anyway. I don't think Froch has anywhere to go if he loses this fight decisively either on points or being in no fight state to continue. No way will his superego be able to handle being 2nd best in the UK at SMW.
