So in your book people who just land thudding blows and stands close to people wins the fight compared to the one who acually lands accurate effective shots?

    Intresting to say the least.

hell no boxing is hitting and not getting hit landing cleaner shots,

but mayweathers workrate was soo poor and got out hustled by maidana for alot of the fight!

No body looks great against all styles in every fight. Id love to see Manny, or anyone else, mash Floyds face in and leave him struggling in find his mouth piece as hes being counted out. That being said, Floyd has fought and beaten many different styles and many different builds of fighters. Most of them in dominate fashion, a few of them close. Gotta give the devil his due. The man is good. Maidona fought well and should be proud, but he just didnt do enough to win. Floyd is still P4P #1 until further notice.

If he beat an opponent easily, he doesn't fight good guys only handpicked opponents. If it's a close tough fight, he's nowhere near the best and somehow immune to criticism. :-((

THis is true! but the thing with mayweather is hes not the best his shots are wide, and doesn't punch very hard becasue he doesn't turn his weight over fully! his footwork also is limited compared to the best

Yea, He doesn't commit to his shots. And with guys like Maidana, and other brawlers with enough speed to test him... his advantages aren't as prevalent imo.

True, but no one is under the delusion that Maidana is anywhere near the best ever. And in these cases, how can one flaunt they are the best ever with an outcome like that against an at best B-level brawler?

    Rigo is much

    much

    Much better

The footwork from rigo is light years ahead of Floyd

    Even in Floyd's best fight

    Corrales,

A masterclass (against someone who couldn't see a jab to the body coming a mile away)

Floyd's footwork against corrales is worse than rigo on his worst day

    Don't get it twisted

Rigo is much better than Floyd

Only blind f@ggots don't see that

Then who is the best? Sergio could have been Floyd if his career had been managed properly from the start I suppose, but now hes old and injury prone. I heard of a guy named Andre Ward once, but its been so long since I saw him fight Im not sure if I just imagined his career or if he actually exists.
As far as people who Floyd can actually fight, its hard to say a guy who got ktfod recently is better when we all know they wont fight. Who else is there? Keith "One Time" Thurman? Porter? IDk. Nobody has done enough to show they belong in the conversation with Floyd really imo.

rigo is the best boxer, but needs to get bigger fights, as far as mayweather having an opponent, Lara can beat him and outbox him mayweather has never fought a skilled cuban before in the pros! thurman is nowere near mayweathers class please hes terrible technically, maidana is a better fighter than thurman!

Oh Rigondeaux?!? Come on now, that dude only has like 13 fights. He has beaten very good competition, but still. Hes only moving his 86lbs or whatever around the ring also. Of course he will look more fluid than Floyd, hes tiny. Its like saying Sugar Ray Leonard is better than Mike Tyson in 1986, except if Ray only had a few fights under his belt.
