Ward, would not have fought him. Maybe in Oakland, where he cannot fill up a high school gym. I doubt he would go to England fight somebody that could beat him on points.

his own dad told him he lost to 42 year old Hopkins before round 12. the only legit opponent he fought that wasn't completely past it

Froch deserves full credit for all of his accomplishments but OP is right, Calzaghe would definitely beat him and everybody knows it.

The main factor would have been stamina. The way Froch beat Groves twice is by his superior stamina. Calzaghe had excellent stamina, so he would have outboxed Froch for every minute of all 12 rounds.

    "Calslappy" was a great boxer
He made his opponents dizzy with his withering, rapid punches.

Calzaghe can do whatever he wants in all these fantasy match ups, at the end of the day his resume doesn't come close to Carl Froch's and that's all that really matters.

that had nothing to do with Joe and his team. they didn't want the fight.

it was HBO who wanted the fight due to Peter having fame from a TV show.

he dropped all belts to move up a weight and fight an ATG.

it's something Joe talked a lot about. being a two weight world champ.

why fight nothing more than a British title holder at the time?? of course you want the much, much bigger fight. :huh

but it's OK. we all know you hate Joe for beating the **** out of Lacy. most hate him because of that.
