Is Carl Froch the second greatest British fighter of all time right behind Lewis?

I live in Philadelphia. Trust me I meet a lot of these different people on a day to day basis, and I can see the spite and anger they usually have against whites.

 

Why would I be mad?

Every time I have a discussion with a black on the internet (sometimes in real life) the "muh dik" talk rears it ugly head. It's always the same crap over and over.

Would you be mad if I told you that black girls always compliment my looks (especially my blue eyes) all the time in my high school (although I try my best to ignore their remarks)? :hey

 

Would a black guy born in Tokyo of migrant parents who became a world champ be called greatest Japanese fighter of all time? Would be a bit silly to call him Japanese imo. He'd be known as his ethic origin first in Japan, they'd like him though.

 

Again, ethnicity is not the same as nationality, and if all these non-white people want to associate themselves with the collective British national identity and to call themselves British then you have no right to say they cannot do so. You can protest that their ethnic background is not native to the British Isles or even Europe but you cannot say they are not British if they choose to class themselves as British.

There is no one settled British ethnicity. Over the centuries many different races have intermingled - white, black, European, African, Asia, whatever - that's one of the consquences of having been the worlds leading trading empire. Modern Britian is a multi-cultural and multi-racial state in which nationality cannot be define simply by the colour of ones skin or original region ones ancestors came from.

 

Is it silly to call (almost?) all American champions American?

 

American in not an ethnicity, Japanese is.

 

Why do a lot (if not most white Americans) identify themselves with their ancestral origin. Every time I would ask them, what their nationality was they'd always respond with something European.

 

Answer the question. Yes or no. Is it silly to call Floyd Mayweather, Kelly Pavlik etc American champions?

 

Really? You ask them their nationality and they don't say 'American'? I find that hard to believe.

 

America is a whole different argument.

This country was set up, and created to what it is today by European immigrants.

The U.K. in its history is that of the Anglo Saxons and the Celts.
