If true then Guiness will likely have a PR annoucement on their site, but my guess is that Fat Dan mentioned Guiness's brand to (1) Add some brand name flair to his article, and (2) get Guiness to send him a case of the beer for free for mentioning their brand in the media.

Without singling out Guiness, i don't doubt the event set an all time record for most volume of alcohol consumed for a single sporting event.

Still, Fat Dan owes me a case for stealing my topic for his article. :yep

Anyway, where mayweather holds the record is, Most Money earned per bout, averaging $32M/fight.

Obviously all of Vegas cannot compete with one stadium full of thirsty Brits in alcohol consumption, and that's with drinks being free at most Vegas casinos. :yep
