Joe won by gift decision, so it does not really matter.
    deal with it.

I am a froch fan but I disagree calzaghe would have UD'd froch 10-2 9-3, Calzaghe had an iron chin too really and was a supreme athlete with an even higher workrate than froch.

As an athlete calzaghe was better and I disagree on the resume whilst I respect froch for the consecutive high level fights the truth is most of the wins are overrated.

It's pretty clear any talented skilled boxer "with a great chin" beats froch.

Calzaghe also had a great chin.

As much as old calslappy has been overrated I think it's kind of partially not his fault he still beat a lot of good fighters and made hopkins look the worst hes ever looked in the last what ? 10 years ? whens the last time hopkins struggled to land or deal with a guy ?

H2H is some hypothetical bu****. Had Froch not fought and destroyed Bute some people would have continued saying that he was better than Froch.

Yeah true, it's boxing and anything can happen, I just feel calzaghe would have beaten froch. As you say though it's all hypothetical.

Bhop is the most overrated fighter in the game today, not to mention it is more exciting watching someone paint. Bhop is a con man. He has been conning the fight game for years. Now that he has gotten old but is still durable, everyone who fights him, the onus is on them to make Bhop look bad. Bhop does nothing most of the fight. Sits back, slowly moves backwards, pot shots when he can, counters well, but he is boring as all get out.

I know for sure Bhop inwardly laughs every day he gets a check for doing what he is doing because he knows in his heart this is his best con to date. The fact that the public will continue calling him one of the best P4P in the world today. The ultimate con.

My assessment has nothing to do with hatred or dislike of Bhop. I think Bhop would admit it himself if it didn't impact his income. I find him mildly amusing when commentating but he is nothing special in the ring, anymore.

Froch has a great resume because it lacks poor names.

If you look at his wins, none of them are standouts.

Pascal: Unproven, later beaten by Hopkins.
Taylor: Already shattered by Pavlik, later lost to Abraham, and a sloppy win too.
Dirrell: Not a good fighter at all, and a sloppy win.
Abraham: Lost to Dirrell, later to Ward.
Johnson: Last win against a good opponent was Tarver 7 years prior.
Bute: Best win was Johnson, unproven/overrated fighter.
Kessler: Old, blind, beaten by Ward and Calzaghe, and beat Froch once.
Groves: Completely unproven, Froch forced to come from behind.

Don't get me wrong, those are all good wins and taken together they form a great resume, but in there you have a loss to Kessler who is not top level and a loss to Ward who is top level. Plus you have unproven guys like Dirrell and Groves outboxing Froch, and a last second miracle against Taylor. Froch has never beaten a truly great opponent, p4p, whatever. Never been the man in his division, never gone up in weight either.

We can hypothesize that Calzaghe would have beaten all Froch's opponents. We can also hypothesize that he would have beaten all of Ward's (and he did beat most of them, better than Ward even).

We know Froch would have lost to at least one Calzaghe opponent (Kessler), because he did (to a shot version).

no you cant pretend he beats them, especially since he ran from some of them.

no in fact froch beat Kessler more emphatically than joe did in the home setting.

joe did not fight kesler away like carl did, so nothing cn be drawn on the away rule.

You MUST go on WHAT HAPPENED, to the point of letter.
