That's about as positive as I've seen him, I was at Bluewater for his previous fight and he just went though the motions ,that night. Didn't think much of his opposition tbh, he will be awkward for anyone but I think Froch would stop him.I doubt he is on Froch's radar, Carl wants a Las Vegas finale, and Degale means nothing in the US.
Carl is going to eat short hooks and uppercuts against james all night as froch stands up straight and squares up.
I thought his performance was really good. He looked in great shape, he looked sharp, his hands looked fast and accurate and his reflexes and footwork looked sharp. He needs to build on this, stay in top shape and fully concentrated and motivated and keep improving. Can he become a world champion? Yeah he can pick up a belt and hold on to it if he stays injury free. Like Floyd always says 'hard work and dedication'.
I posted on here after the first Froch Groves fight that DeGale would be a word champion before Groves. I stand by it
Let's see Froch drop the IBF for Chav in LasVegas and DeGale take on a good competitor for the vacant or have a pop at Bika perhaps......much better match-ups. For the record, Degale beats Froch for me, I don't need to see that one happen.
excellent performance from Degale I think he would give Froch trouble. he is a bit of an annoying twat though sometimes.
He probably will if Froch decides to go to Vegas instead. Could set up a massive unification fight next year for his last fight if Froch beats whoever he faces next and DeGale beats Abraham.
Yeah, if James got the WBO and Carl got the WBC, and say James had a fight with Kessler and beat him and Carl beat Chavez in Vegas, this would be a massive fight to make at the city ground. If Carl DID beat Chavez in Vegas and beat Degale at the city ground in a farewell unification fight and he retired as the unified SMW Champ of the world, he'd f*cking kill JC's resume. And what a way to leave the sport!!!!
