Were does he stand now? For me he's the most under rated and disrespected fighter on our shores

Up there with calzaghe and Lennox, probably our 3rd greatest ever fighter. One more big win and the passing of time once he's retired may have him as our greatest ever.

Using that logic we can say Froch is Polish.

    Not quite. :nono

One lives and works in the UK and hates leaving Nottingham, the other has dual nationality, lives in Miami, plies his trade in the States/Canada, and holidays in Jamaica. Not knocking Lennox, just saying.

I think Joe C would have beaten Carl, but for me his non activity between eubank and lacey harms his legacy

Froch as far as legacy is above JC for the simple reason Froch has fought everybody in the division. JC could of beaten Froch, but Froch was never given the opportunity to find out who was the better man. At least Froch fought the younger man who was calling him out, as well as giving him a rematch to settle the matter.

    Agreed.

Carl's resume is incredible - End of story.

Bar the Mack and Johnson fights, he hasn't had an easy fight since 2008!

Joe is a boss, but he NEVER looked for the big fights. His DAD had to convince him to fight Lacy, ffs! Thing is with Joe is that he is selfish, he wanted everyone to come to him and that doesn't always happen. F*ck me, he went to AMERICA in his last two fights, and I honestly feel that he was a bottler or had a MASSIVE case of self doubt.

No way on this earth would Joe have fought everyone that Carl has. Joe had the skills to beat all of those guys, but there was always an excuse with him.

I don;t like Carl as a person, but as a fighter? Man, he can only be admired and respected. No one can say **** to him as he has earned it the hard way, and I reckon that last nights event will have made Joe a touch bitter.

Joe C would have beaten all the fighters on Frochs CV, the problem is he wouldn't have the bottle to fight them.

For someone with so much skiil he was very much guided carefully through his career so there was no hard fights

Brixton Bomber, you have hit the nail on the head.
I have way more time for Froch because he takes risks. Sure, he lost to Ward; at least he fought him!
Froch is an old school warrior and he deserves all the accolades he is getting.

Very underrated. You get some (mainly fat, mulleted Americans) saying he's a bad boxer and average but, given the fact he's had so much success despite his lack of speed and other flaws shows how good he is.

It takes more than speed and slickness to be a boxer. What Froch lacks in that area he more than makes up for with his stamina (He has the best stamina in boxing, no doubt about it), Ring IQ (I'd put in him in the top ten boxers), Jaw (Top 5), heart and his punching technique is excellent. Plus he's probably the most dangerous boxer in the world when he's got his opponent on the ropes.

Great fighter. I'd put him behind Lewis and Calzaghe though. Saying that, despite his age Froch is STILL looking great. He's definitely got a few more wins in him yet. If say in his next fights he beats Degale, Bika and Chavez Jr (the 3 most likely fights imo), I'd put him at the top.
