What's worse a bad ref or bad judges

    Which one is worse? A bad ref can stop a fight early, favor one fighter over the other, let a fight go on too long. Bad judges can rob fighters. I would say a bad ref even though judges can rob a fighter atleast you will get to see the complete fight and the fans still know who really won. Unlike with a bad ref who can stop a fight early for a quick hometown stoppage or rule a cut to be caused by a headbutt instead of a punch.

    Thats actually a good question.

    I think I have to agree that a bad ref is worse. Also it depends on the matchup, but a bad ref can be dangerous.

    Take the ref in Agbeko-Mares 1 for example fuc king horrible job. He allowed Mares to low blow Agbeko numerous times with no point deduction or real warnings.

    Heck take Luis Pabon from the Donaire fight this weekend. Make sure you ring the bell for 10 seconds of round 5 after the decision to stop fight has been made so you can hand belt to Nonito via technical decision.

    Exactly that was a cruel joke. Cut was caused by a punch he said headbutt then stops the fight. I hate that type of ****. Garbage way to win a title. I hope Donaire gives him the rematch like he said.

    Always a bad ref.

    ******ed judges are probably more infuriating (but Mora...), but they don't put the fighter's life at risk. A bad referee can and might. So, no contest, always the referee.

    Health-wise, no doubt that the ref would be worse.

    In terms of the impact one or the other could have on the fight, I'd say it's the judges.

    IN most cases of a bad ref, each fighter has a chance to deal with a ref's deficiencies in the ring. He has a chance to counteract that ref's moves.

    With bad judges, be it just poor performance, or outright corruption, there isn't a thing that can be done. A guy can dominate a fight from bell to bell and still lose a decision.

    As a spectator a bad ref is worse because they can ruin the fight. With bad judges we can at least still watch a good fight even if the wrong guy gets the decision

    i'll say the judges
    you see way more bad judging than refs....
    but a bad ref can be a nightmare. (khan-peterson)
    or one with a hair trigger finger to stop a fight the first time a guy gets clocked good

    You can overcome a bad ref and find ways to "please" him with your work...

    The judges have the final say in who gets the glory.

    So, my vote goes to bad judges.

    I feel that most of the time bad judges are worse. Abner Mares has two good examples. The first being the low blows against Agbeko and the second was that ridiculous scorecard against Moreno. 120-106 :huh:huh:huh

    That card is one of the worst I've seen in recent memory, to be honest. I couldn't believe it when I heard it.

    The ref in the Moreno fight was dreadful as well. Mares landed countless low blows (what else is new?) plus the point deduction from Moreno?!? Let alone the iffy KD call on the "butt punch." Garbage officiating all the way around.

    And yes, Agbeko II was a small foul fest, let alone that historic Agbeko I.

    I've seen many a bad ref have the final say in a fight.

    I reckon they're as bad as each other, they ruin fights with their blatant corruption.
