Groves is a huge talent; He wasn't himself on Saturday night and he was pretty tentative but I still had him 4-3 up going into the eighth.

If he had Booth in his corner then he would have won the 1st fight by fighting sensibly and in the 2nd; he wouldn't have been drawn into a slug in the 8th.

With Booth back for Haye, I suggest George joins him or Virgil Hunter.

Groves at 26 is only a pup and in years to come with experience could be world class imo Fights of this size just came 2/3 years too early imo , The other champs like abraham and bikka he deals with easily imo

Do you think there a UK coach that could give Groves what he needs?

I see where your coming from but boxing is littered with young hungry lions taking on the established champ or vet. At the time was ward favorite vs Kessler?

I'm sorry but this whole 'would have won the first fight by fighting sensibly' doesn't hold up at all for me. It was pretty obvious to me (I said this beforehand on several psts) that Froch was probably concussed from that huge right hand that he was caught with cold. Groves hammered him for the next 6 rounds and couldn't get him out of there and in turn got stopped by a fighter who was a shell of his real self for the whole fight. If that punch doesn't land then we don't have a controversial decision or a second fight and this feud would have been over in November. You can't call the punch lucky because it was thrown with the intent to land. But I believe they could fight another 10 times and Froch wouldn't get hit with a shot like that, being in such a poor technical position.

Fact is there is nothing to suggest that Groves can fight 12 rounds with Froch as he never saw the tenth bell in two fights. All of this 'I felt comfortable' from Groves really doesn't mean anything. I really don't think he has what it takes to beat Froch and I think that going 0-2 (2) in two very different fights proves that.

Not a massive fan of Groves admittedly but I have to say that I think he is hugely overrated. I think there is a pretty good chance that Groves' signature win will be that bout vs Degale. I also think his skill-set has been blown out of proportion. He couldn't outbox Froch on the weekend and that was meant to be his area of strength. The fact he looked so good in the first fight was because Froch was so groggy (forgetting the knockdown and the post match interview ramblings would be further evidence of this). The likes of Glenn McCrory just couldn't fathom this afterwards and thought the second fight would just pick up where the first left off!

Way too soon to hold Shane Mcguigan up as one of the top 2 in Britain.

I like what I've seen but seriously!
