He was probably journeyman level as a pro and not too bad a journeyman at that. Just wasn't world class material. Plenty of other Olympians who did worse in the pros.

Disagree. Rademacher had a late start and didn't turn pro until he was almost 30, so already he was behind the eight ball. In his pro debut he decked the champion and was thrown in with Folley in only his second bout. From that point he went 13-1-1 in his next 15 fights and beat Chuvalo, Clark, and a good prospect in Nitzschke. Overall it wasn't a great career for a former gold medalist, but Rademacher was hardly the worst in that category
Yeah, they were really really high on Maynard for a while. So was I. He looked unbelievable in his first few pro fights and I thought that this kid is going to have a heck of a career. Then, the next thing you know....
Andrew Maynard was actually very talented. If memory serves he had some stamina problems and maybe even a shaky chin. Good boxing ability though. Outstanding amateur and good enough for the prospect levels of the pros.
