As a 20 year old young black man in America, I've been questioning Floyd's leadership the past few months. This isn't about him being a boxer, or a talent, but a figure in the black community. I support him as a fighter, and I've met him before and he's very nice.

But recently with the Donald Sterling situation and now the ****** Biieber situation, he came out defending both of them.

    Here w/ Donald Sterling

"Donald Sterling, he was always a respectful gentleman to me, so I don't have anything negative to say about Donald Sterling," Mayweather said. "Sometimes we say things and we can't, we can't take it back."

"I think everybody should just pray for him. And you know he get a better heart, a change of heart."

You don't have anything negative to say about a man who degraded and insulted African Americans and had a plantation like mentality when it comes to his Players/Staff both of which were 80% African American?

And with ****** Bieber, he was caught on camera saying e wanted to join the KKK and that he would kill N*****RS, he responded with

"****** has been nothing but kind to me, my daughters and sons over the years. We all make mistakes when we are young, it’s part of growing up. I am proud of what he’s doing as a 20 year old musician and business man"

No one is saying that he has to berate them, or insult them, but at the very least you shouldn't be defending him. Let the people know that you don't think it's okay.

I need to think twice about how much I support Floyd. I can't tell if he sees black or white or just sees green. One of the things that made me a fan of his was that he wasn't politically correct. He said what needed to be said. It seems like that's changed and all hes concerned with is his pocket. We have enough false leaders in our community and we dont need another one.

If the mods decide to delete this so be it. But it isnt right and I want to make that known.

    I actually find it admirable.

I totally understand your reaction bro but shunning people who hate you only creates more hate to go around.

I've faced racism in the past and instead of going all confrontational, i just kept being myself and respected anybody as long as they respected me. I think it's very mature, responsible and compassionate of floyd.

Even though i ain't christian, it's kinda like what jesus said, love thy enemy lol.

He has no choice but to defend him because Floyd is a proven racist himself. He would be making an ass out of himself like he regularly does on videos. :patsch

It's not just that. I'm okay with him not berating them, or insulting them. That's fine. But to defend them? And call out what they've done for you? And try to paint them out as good people? It looks like someone who forgot where they've come from. In my opinion.

    "Im proud of Bieber"
"Sterling has been nice to me"

    What?

Coming from a country in which rap 'stars' rap about black folks in a derogatory word/fashion every two seconds sounds a bit hypocritical don't you think.

Didn't Jay Z throw a party abit back where all white people were banned?

People are going to make mountains out of molehills no matter what.

Ali stood up to an entire government and refused to go to war against his beliefs, an did time in prison for it. You're saying that Floyd can't just speak the truth? Say the right things, and let people know that what's been going on is wrong?

    Nah . F--K that.

Growing up here, I know the difference. I've had it explained to me as a kid too. We don't use it as a slur, we use it as an understanding that we go through the same things. We've turned a derogatory term to almost a term of endearment. Basically that in a world where we are looked down upon and/or not looked at as equals, me and you are the same. That's the meaning of the word.

And an "ALL BLACK" party doesnt mean no white people. It means to be dressed in all black. No different than an all white party.

Right, another troll baiting thread? Nice to see you set up one scenario only to contradict it moments later.

I'm sorry but the Sterling thing is just convenient ! The previous NBA commissioner knew about his actions and did nothing ,I'm not surprised that he was cordial to Floyd and vice versa ..It's no secret than an old school Jewish man has some racism in him ,like a previous poster said Floyd has been just as guilty ..Why would them being nice to each other offend anyone ? And Beiber is just a wanna be I'm more offended by his wanna bism than what comes out his mouth !

Regarding the party that's not what I read pal.

If it was true which there was more than one 'newspaper' reporting it Jay Z was letting good old white folk into his party.

How'd I contradict myself? Im saying that Floyd should be held accountable. There's no way he shouldn't be able to call out Sterling, or Bieber. It's not right. He should say something about it.
