I know he wants a fight in Vegas, but even Vegas can't top what he did at the weekend!

Anyone else think it'd be great to see him go out on that performance/show?

It'd be a great fight to end on but personally I want to see him fight on, still some good fights to be made that can add to his legacy.

I think Froch should have one more crack at Ward, see if he can become a world champion before he calls it a day. I do no think he will win, but he is most deserving of the shot.

I don't think he should, he has at least 2-3 fights left in him after watching the Groves fight. He is fit and speaks like a person that isn't shop worn. I think he should take that big money fight against either Chavez or Kessler and then have another crack at Ward. I think he'd regret retiring not fighting in Vegas and rematching Ward. If anyone deserves going out on his terms, then it is Froch!

Definitely not. Froch took Groves lightly in the first fight and with a good training camp for the second has proved that he can compete and succeed against somebody with better boxing skills, more power and speed. Despite doubts arising from the first fight the 2nd proved that he hasn't faded as much some suspected (including myself). He could probably go on into his early 40s as his style doesn't rely on fast twitch reflex, but I wouldn't blame him if he had 2-3 fights and called it a day. There is a good £10-15m there to be earned for Froch and I'm sure he wouldn't want to lose these paydays to an early retirement.

Go for Chavez in Vegas and live the dream, or have another go at Ward (in Oakland no doubt lol). Froch avoids no one and will want a name. Groves is a nobody and although it was a good domestic dust up and a great earner, Froch should go after the big boys.

    e.g.:

    Golovkin
    Bernard Hopkins

Carl would be an underdog for either of those I think, but he has pulled it off before so maybe.

The former would make for a great fight. A war, even.

The latter would make it the ugliest fight of this decade. Urgh.

    Golovkin if he moves up.

Although I don't think froch would move up at this point, would love to see him go for the lineal LHW title against Stevenson, they were in talks at smw so you never know.

    Domestic with degale.

If Froch wins a big fight in Vegas, then I can see BHop challenging Froch, even opting to go down possibly. Money makes the world go round and after Froch beat Groves in a packed stadium, he has quite a few queuing for a fight with him. Bhop would see a fight against Froch very winnable, and would go for the risk, if the numbers made sense.

GGG – Arguably the bets fight that can be made in boxing outside of Pac and Floyd
Hopkins – Pointless, the wily old slag would run rings around Froch as he would against Adonis and Kovalev
JCC – Pointless in my eyes but HBO and Hearn seem confident they can sell on PPV both sides of the pond
Ward 2 – Froch could maybe make it more competitive but a fight outside of the UK is an academic result
DeGale – Froch does not want it but this has Wembley written all over it although it will never compare to Saturdays fight
Kesller 3 – Kessler is way past his bets and unless he gets a decent win this November then it is never going to happen nor sell

Honestly, the groves sequel was so ****ing big it blew my mind and has done wonders for British boxing but in a nutshell it has ended Froch. None of the above fights, barring a GGG war, would really motivate Froch, the fans and bring in those kind of numbers again. I am glad Froch was paid well at the weekend as I very much doubt he fights more than once again. You simply cannot top what we saw at Wembley.

On the one hand I am thrilled to say I was there and part of it, but I am more so gutted that this could be the end of the Cobra.

Froch should avoid a fight with Hopkins.

I honestly think Hopkins beats him, styles make fights and Hopkins would have him in no end of problems.

If he loses, "he got beat by an old man"... if he wins "he beat an old man". No win situation. Even now people say Calzaghe beat an "old" Hopkins and that was 7 years ago.

If he doesn't want to change weight class or take the second shot at being the champion at 168 that he's earned but seems to have ruled out (?) then why stick around anyway?
