You mean Stevens and no he didn't back him up. Neither did Rosado. Neither in any meaningful way or with any consistency. GGG doesn't fight in that way.

I don't remember the Rosado fight too much but Stevens did at times, but he wasn't consistent. It might even be less than I remember. He was reluctant to initiate because of the punishment he was taking back.

I'm not saying they were effective against Golovkin, I'm saying that you could see the potential to beat guys like Golovkin. Everyone has a weakness and can be beat. Golovkin doesn't get backed up because everyone he faces feels his power and then doesn't want to engage.

I myself would take that seriously too.. I have a wife and 2 young boys, and if someone says they are coming to my area to threaten me, don't think for a second I won't be ready to grab my gun.

 

I would say Floyd is a complete fighter. He's great at adapting, he has a genius-level ring IQ, great footwork, great jab, excellent defense, and can fight on the inside as well as the outside. Just look at his fight with Hatton.

 

Floyd was an offensive beast at 130.

The fact is Floyd makes top opponents look like amateurs. He made Guerrero, Marquez, Corrales, and G. Hernandez look like they didn't belong in the same ring as him.
