Jones was great but I need to be convinced he didn't cheat-not sure
Pacquiao was juiced when he KO'd Hatton-for him to attain that much power moving up the ladder from 107 lb in his history and then becoming a devastating powerhouse at that weight goes to show you that we all can make it big... when we're on the juice.

Carl froch would be called a cherry pick in jones prime

And I like Carl, but this is elite level technicians vs a very solid chin and decent jab

Wasn't Calzaghe 36 years old at that time, and past his prime.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Calzaghe's style a very athletic one that needs youth to be optimal?

You can't have it both ways. Either they were both shot and out of their primes, or they weren't.

I think most would pick Jones but I cringe to think what that punch Froch landed on Groves would do to Roy's fragile Glass Jaw.

If Jones could frequently get to carl under his awkard jab then it could be an early finish for froch a likely early finish too. But if Froch could keep him off and not get hit by anything he could get his own chance to knock him out as jones liked to take breathers in the ropes where froch likes to attack, Jones has to be a massive favourite though

If there is a worse matchup, style-wise for Froch, I can't think of it.

Jones way to fast for froch , even froch can't walk through a blizzard of punches and stay balanced enough to land a powerful enough shot to stop a prime jones

Jones didn't really face a rangy iron chinned warrior like Froch who is/was willing to take a few to land his own. Froch would stalk RJJ till the final bell or till he knocked RJJ out.

UD roy jones. overated athletic but vulnerable jones would manage to squeak past froch with some dangerous moments but his sharpness would seal it.
