Cotto jumps in and throws hooks at the body in economical bursts, pulling out and resetting without punching himself out. Big left hook downstairs by Cotto, pulled halfway there as Martinez sidesteps. Left uppercut slicing the air by Cotto.

I think Cotto stun him a bit in the third.

 

Sheridan and Merchant saw Martinez coming back in that one.

His best effort yet, but I think both of them fell into the old trap of scoring erroneously because someone "did better" relative to previous rounds, where they didn't actually do the better work if you view the round in a vacuum.

(though I acknowledge that one might argue someone giving it to Cotto might be falling prey to exactly the opposite fallacy - scoring on 'momentum'...)
