Martinez was more broken than anybody could have imagined.

Where were his angles, his combos, or his counters? Getting rattled by light shots, what a broken man

Meant to say broken in title. Phone correct

Maybe, but Cotto was the best fighter he has fought so far. Nobody on martinez resume can move like cotto.

True. I kinda think anyone who knows boxing knows that a half decent Sergio beats cotto easily... Whenever people say they "knew" that Cotto would beat Martinez, it really tells me how little they know about boxing. If you picked that right you just guessed when a fighter got older. You know nothing about the sport or the skills involved, or how to assess them. I thought Sergio would win this fight because I thought his knees wouldn't be that bad. Clearly, I was wrong. I said from the begining if Sergio has shot knees he loses, if not he wins. I was right. How ANYONE could not see that Sergio had bad knees is clearly biased, or knows NOTHING about the sport of boxing.

He got caught, he got hurt and he got outboxed. It happens.

This is kinda hilarious that people think Cotto is really back and a force to be reckoned with again. It's clear he beat a C fighter and then an A fighter who was old, and had shot knees. I DO think the way Cotto was moving and the skills he displayed showed improvement. That is true. Let's not be fooled into thinking Sergio was a real test at this point though.

Cotto did fight a perfect fight and I honestly have interest in a floyd rematch, but the aggressive martinez from Williams 1 that took big shots and threw combo's would have smoked cotto.

Martinez looked the role of a shot fighter if I've ever seen one

His camp, promoter, and Martinez himself knew his knees were shot. They knew from the get go that Martinez was not going to be 100% or even 50% healed or ready. I like Martinez as a person and fighter, but he took the fight for the PAYDAY, which he deserved. But very disappoint with him for not being honest about his knees.

He moved around like a senior citizen. That's not an excuse, any blind man could see.

Yup. That's why Sergio didn't act like a cold blooded killer leading up to the fight. He KNEW he was at a serious disadvantage.

Not to take anything away from Cotto, but it's pretty clear Martinez is shot. It's been apparent since Murray got robbed.

It's not about being shot. It's the clear fact that his knee was done. It was an injury, not being shot.

Was his knee injured in the Murray fight? I can't remember.

Put Cotto in the ring with Floyd and afterwards he'll be shot again and Floyd would get no credit for beating him in an unnecessary rematch.
