Funny thing is...in the post fight interview sergio said no excuses his knee was not the problem..he said he never recovered from the shots in round one!!...Yet there a million threads down playing cotto....all the **** sergio talked about this man and cotto still won...that's not being a REAL boxing fan, the same one's talking down, are the same ones that picked sergio!! :patsch

No one knew what how bad of a condition Sergio was in, no one could have known that. He was barely 10% of his former self.

Sergio never made excuses about the knee because he is a real man and knows how to take defeat and not cry about it like others do.

It could be that Martinez and his people knew his knee was shot and took the fight as a pay-day .martinez is perhaps just to much of an old pro to hide behind excuses

Sergio manned up and gave Cotto full credit. Even though I don't think the knee was close to 100%, he deserves credit for not using that as an excuse (even if he had the opportunity to).

Sergio moved all around like crazy for all the fight stop it cotto just proved to have better defense and ring iq...martinez is just a fast guy who fought slow plodder like pavlik and chavez jr through his carreer...i mean the guy got droped 2 times by MACKLIN
