What about the second time where Margarito gave Cotto a viscious beating and was saved by the judges.

That's when Floyd decided to fight him.

We all know Mayweather fought Pacquiao's leftover .

**** off MVC!, Leonard Ellerbe. Go back to Floyd's *** dungeon you gimp.

We shouldn't even be talking about Plasterito. The man is an insult to human dignity. Without that crime scene of a fight, Cotto's fights with Pac and Floyd might have been different. Who knows? Margarito's body should be burned in a trash dumpster when he dies.:good

I think if anything Trout & Mayweather's win look better. I'm not to fond of catchweights but putting that aside Cotto had just been KO'd badly and possibly cheated out his 0, lost his father/trainer and arguably lost to Clottey in the fight right before in the 12 months leading into the Pacquiao fight the guy basically trained himself for the biggest fight in his career at that point.

Inversly after the Pacquiao bout Cotto took the longest break of his career before hooking up with HOF trainer E.Steward and beating his first reigning champ in Y.Foreman(a fight offered to Pac 1st but ducked due to style), then he got with the best cuban trainer in boxing P.Diaz before a rematch with Margarito II(a win Cotto said restored the confidence he never got back after fight 1). The Trout fight was a 7-5/8-4 type loss I think it was just overconfidence/underestimating Trout. Now Cotto is working with another HOF trainer in Roach. Cotto has done nothing but inprove since the Pacquiao loss.

As far as how the fights played out Pacquiao got a 12th rd TKO Mayweather a 12 rd UD.
Pacquiao 2 knockdowns Mayweather almost drops him in the 12th,
Pacquiao left with a broken eardrum and his head taped up Mayweather a bloody nose for 2 rds.
145 vs 154, having no trainer vs having one of the best trainers
More prime vs more technically skilled
2/3 rds for Cotto vs 3/4 rds for Cotto

As far as comp Margarito I, Jennings, Clottey are on the same level or less than Foreman, Mayorga, Margarito II just the results and Cotto looked better going into the Mayweather fight than he did Pacquiao.

My dude Pacquiao ducked Y.Foreman according to facts after Pacquiao-Clottey happen and Pacquiao went for the 8-division's title he was supposed to fight Foreman but decided not to because of his style. Freddie Roach Pacquiao's own trainer is on record saying that its not to bash Pacquiao but people **** on the Foreman win but Foreman is the first current champ Cotto has every fought and Pacquiao a guy who had just beat Cotto ducked him. I don't even like Cotto like that but give the guy his due Lineal MW Champ. If any other MW who doesn't have half the resume of Cotto was in there last night and it played out the same they would be praised but a HOFer in Cotto who's last 4 fights **** on every top 10 MW's entire record beats him an it doesn't mean anything.

Fighters don't shoot up rankings because Cotto had the balls to fight at MW if anything floyd goes down because he ran from Martinez for years and won't fight at MW so his rankings actually goes down in my book.

Yuri Foreman put up more of a fight vs Cotto than Martinez did last night. Through the first 6 rounds, Foreman put on a boxing clinic and gained respect from the fans in his skill displayed vs Cotto. Foreman though sustained a serious knee injury during that bout and unlike Martinez didn't take any big fights since due to the injury. The problem we have is Martinez is the lying about the knee.
