this. Cause then they will get the backlash of why say you are ready to fight (fighter/promoter, etc) if in fact you were not for a PPV that did not live to its hype because of it.

the problem was OLD. Knees, lost speed, mobility, balance. The guy's done, should have retired before this fight.

Thank All Mighty Lord that DiBella stabbed Bernard in the back to shield behind a nobody like Jermain and now with Martinez. I really want to Thank Jesus because you cannot have a promoter saying that your fighter became very "dizzy" after the first shot... Next thing you know, they will be tryin to find plaster in Cotto's wrappings.

He had to say it was not the knee to avoid backlash. Imagine how the public would take it if martinez said his knee was not ready. He would have basically said he made people throw away there money which is how I feel

He could have been concussed ! bunch of idiots ,if you have never been in the ring before don't comment ...One of my first sparring sessions as a kid I was hit by a blow on the top of the head ,I didn't feel the affects until a minute later . Now take a punch from a world class puncher
Like Cotto and lets see how you would react !

Not buying this for a second. And the fact that DiBella makes this statement makes it even more problematic. This tells me that the extent of the injuries were known going in and they (DiBella, Martinez and team) don't want legal ramifications from this.

How would you rate Martinez's chin? He was floored three times by Cotto, twice by Murray, and twice by Chavez Jr.

Try to duck punches that start hurting minute later on your way out.
