Would Floyd Mayweather be brave enough to move up and fight a middleweight champion?

Floyd will only fight for the middleweight championship at a catchweight against a fighter he has already beaten. Otherwise, no chance.

 

but the 152 CW, whoever suggested it, still puts a stain on Floyd's impressive schooling on Canelo, he could of just as well fought him at 154 and he'd still be quicker and lighter on his feet, and would still win just as easily

Floyd would have fought him at any weight, all he did was say okay to Canelo's requests.

It was a very fair fight, Canelo knew he would make the weight easily and he did.

If he knew the weight was going to be a problem, he wouldn't have come out and asked Mayweather to fight at a catchweight.

How can he make excuses when he was the one who suggested it to him?

You can only lose credit if the fighter was AFFECTED by the weight. Canelo was NOT affected by the weight. He looked fine and dandy on fight night and even in the weigh in, he looked shredded.

He knew damn well he could make the weight so he was confident.

He didn't even make 154 in his last bout vs Trout so that excuse goes out the fking window. He weighed 153.

They negotiated for 152, Canelo took the fight knowing he would make it, he did, he looked shredded and ready for war. Mayweather was just a different class. Canelo looked befuddled at the beginning of the fight all the way to the end.

I dont like Floyd either but I would not like see him getting beaten till death.

 

At 37, I doubt it. His style doesn't suit the extra weight. Not to mention he's not a big puncher at 147, he'd be even less so at 160. The naturally bigger guys would walk through his punches. Props if he does but it isn't a wise decision at this point.

 

First of all Pac fought Cotto after he was brutalized with plaster of Paris from Margarito.
Secondly, why will a fight of magnitude of Cotto vs Mayweather be fought in Puertorico when revenue can be maximized fighting by them fighting in Vegas. Has Cotto ever expressed any dissatisfaction in fighting in Las Vegas? Are suggesting that Mayweather gets so sort of unfair advantage fighting in Vegas. By the way Mayweather will have no problem rematching Cotto if Cotto express interest in a rematch.

 

Floyd fanatics are terrible. Did none of you guys watch the Cotto/Martinez Face Off and 24/7 shows? Martinez's team asked for the 159 catch weight to lure in Miguel, and he accepted it! Cotto wasn't even going to seek one, but accepted the deal given.

Anything to discredit this HUGE win and something greater than Mayweather has ever done at this stage of their respective careers.
