If you think sergio was over 25% of his usual self, find a new sport.

The guy can hardly walk much less fight a professional boxer. If you think that was the sergio that fought pwillians, pavlik and JCCJr you're either on drugs or a troll.

And I never liked sergio. I'm happy for cotto but any top 5 MW that isn't a cripple will stomp a mud hole in him.

Maybe, PQ still has the power to blast him out of there. Martinez landed a few jabs on cotto that jolted him and marked his face up.

STFU! Sergio was 100% fine and dandy! he said it himself!

Cotto beat the prime outta Sergio with that left hook in the first round!

that was his special knee-wrecking hook! it doesn't even drop you, but it destroys your knees and balance for 12 rounds! Cotto beats any version of Martinez 10/10

    /cotto groupie rant

*Lose. If you think Sergio's knees were fine you're either a fanboy, blind or simply DKSAB.

When I look at the MW Ring rankings, I think Cotto beats 2 thru 6 and 8, with question marks on 7, 9 and 10. I think Stevens would have a good shot at beating him. Have never seen Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam fight.

"He said he was out on his feet after the first round," DiBella said in a phone interview Sunday. "He felt his body wasn't the same after that. He felt disconnected. He never regained his [POISE]after that."

Martinez was taken to Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan following the fight and missed the post-fight press conference.

. DiBella said an additional CT Scan revealed "no abnormalities." Martinez was discharged at 5 a.m. on Sunday and traveled back home to Spain later in the day, Lewkowicz said.

"He got caught with an early shot in the first minute of the fight and then he fought eight rounds and a half only by heart," Lewkowicz said on Sunday. "So how can [YOU]say that he's old? Everybody wants to be a coach. But the reality is that probably a young man wouldn't have gotten up after the first punch and it would be a KO after the first round."

So I know this concept seems odd to most boxing fans on here, but when you get hit with 108 left hooks to your face that, hurt and daze you and eventually drop you... your legs tend wobble... after sometime passes though you can regain your poise and your legs... like you saw Martinez do in about round 3-4, and then he was promptly tagged again and hurt. He admitted himself after the fight that after the first hook in round 1 he was dazed and fought the rest of the fight in a haze. He and Dibella think he had a concussion.

yeah, and while we're at it..why was he using his heel to bounce around instead of his metatarsus/ball of the foot like fighters normally do?:think

Think you can balance on your toes while concussed? :think

Btw, these Cotto hooks are the same that tore Pac's ear apart. Pac has better resistance than Martinez?
