he couldnt plant his feet at all and that includes the moments when he wasn't getting punched. The guy was walking with a limp the whole match, are you Cotto's groupies blind?

Considering he had bad knees in two of those fights and got back up every time he got knocked down in all THREE fights, pretty good actually.

    Heart of a champion.

Our readers here recognize a limp boxer when they see one. The boxer was brave fighting on a bad knee . His promoter knew of the injury and now dodges the issue.

Martinez refused to fight Golovkin, but chose to fight Cotto while injured for his retirement fight for the money. Martinez has to retire now, he is finished. Golovkin will knock Cotto out, but Cotto will refuse to fight him................. Pac beat the living hell out of Cotto, made him a bloody mess, stopped him..............

Sergio could've easily said his knees were fine going in, but he reinjured them during the fight and nobody would've gave him slack as that would've been very believable and so acceptable. He did not, there is no evidence they were as he never buckled on his own, this all combines to say his knees were not injured.

    Damage control.

A promoter usually claim the OPPOSITE to make his fighter look better, not make him look worse. A sane promoter usually say that his fighter is injured and he was not at 100% to get a rematch.

For a promoter to make this claim is completely BS. I've never seen a promoter do this because it's against the unwritten rule of promoting. He pulled a fast one on the boxing community and now he wants the fans to buy his bullsh*t.

You make a very interesting point. Off the top of my head I can't think of another instance where a promoter did something like this.

what you expect him to say? sergio had knee problem and we just fooled the fans?

it's not that he got dizzy, it was about getting hit in the first place.

sergiio's defense is mainly his reflexes/legs. he just gets out of the harm's way.

he wais too immobile to do that this time.

what do you expect from a guy who has had 2 knee operations?

his inability to take punches was suspect at best. seems like he wasnt at his tip top condition, which goes back to his knee problems.

How can there be an expectation on how one falls when they're either rung or injured? It's all dependent on their most recent position when they experience more then they can handle.

If you had watched the 24 7 you'd know they have a truly respectful and loyal relationship with each other. Sergio said he would never leave Dibella because he took a chance on Martinez. So it's not hard to imagine that level of respect and loyalty being given back to Martinez in saying something that would not make Martinez look so great.
