When you get your equilibrium knocked and your brain rattled your knees tend to feel like jello.

 

Good to see a lot of people are seeing the OBVIOUS. Yes, Martinez was pretty much a gimp on fight night. He was a dead man walking. It affected everything he did in the ring.

 

That first clean left hook is what made sm jelly. His knee was totally fine.
He was hurt the whole fight and had nothing to do with a reconstructed knee.
the knee was fixed and rehashed correctly.

The excuses are crazy. He never once limped, Not sure most of you know the difference between a hurt fighter and a truly injured fighter. Cotto made him jelly immediately not his repaired knee for criss sakes

I don't care if the Pope came out and declared Martinez's knees were fine. Dem knees were messed up. Dude had two knee pads on em. Dude had surgeries on em. Dude couldn't bend his knee in the fight and was moving around all awkward and what not. You can't possibly believe those knees were fine.

 

Let's not forget that his trainer got the fight stopped after pleading with martinez his leg is shot.

 

Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. But i DO believe my own two eyes. And Sergio, in the middle rounds when he was even doing better, couldnt bend his legs. He couldnt plant to punch. A broken nose doesnt do that. Thats what I could SEE with my own two eyes. If you believe his knbees were fine, QUICK!! Send me money!!! I will invest it in a pyramid scam...i mean investment and double your money. Quick, now!!

Kinda funny when first Martinez (The acually guy who was in the fight) Said that he was fine and he didn't recover from the first round.

Then still people don't belive him, and now we got medical evidence and still you don't belive it. I do think we have some trust issues on our hand here!

 

The mri wouldn't tell you it has been surgically repaired two times, only that it wasnt torn in the fight.

Maybe martinez doesn't want to take credit away from cotto so he is giving him full props. The fact remains that his trainer only convinced martinez to stop when he reminded him multiple times his knee is clearly gone.

 

Butthurt posters. Sergio was bouncing on that knee during the instructions...He moved fine until BOOM! Hook to head. Watch ANY of Sergio's fights, he moves like that... front leg straight, and does not bounce like Cotto does during the fight. Sergio has always done that step-drag-foot style .

ANY version of Sergio gets stopped by Cotto because Cotto is NOT Chavez Jr. Cotto is an elite fighter. Some of you so called fans/Flag-bias haters, have no ability to see the simplicity in all of this.

 

Wrong. His trainer was trying to spare him from the OBVIOUS. Was he supposed to say "Sergio, you are a hype job trying to survive a bout with an elite, fast and accurate Puerto Rican!!!"

NO. He gave Sergio the way out which would spare his PRIDE. MRI showed NO damage to knees. Oh, and Sergio himself NOT ONCE said ANYTHING about his knees in the corner.


Let it go you envious peasants. Maybe in your next life you can be born a proud Rican. It's not your fault.

And MRI would reveal swelling or tears etc. Duh, this is what MRI's do...

Maybe his knees look fine in an MRI, but if you do an MRI on a 70 year old's knees, they will look "fine" too, unless something is torn, broken, or damaged. It doesn't mean they are in athletic performance shape.
