It's official: Chavez Jr destroyed Sergio's career

    Just like Pac did to Margarito, making him a one eyed target who had to retire. Chavez is Sergio's ¨Pac¨

    Chavez Jr destroyed Martine'z knee in that fateful final round, 3 surgeries later and now he's a helpless victim to the Cottos of this world

    The signs were already there in the Murray fight, he looked terrible in that fight, but nowhere near as bad as the pitiful gimp we saw against the former light welter

    yet the downward spiral that ended with Martinez being a bum ripe for the picking started with the Chavez fight. That was the last time when we saw Sergio as the great fighter he used to be.

    Sergio won the fight that day, but lost the rest of his career. It's a fact now, Chavez ruined him forever

    Martinez's defense was sub par and he would have always been wide open to those killer left hooks from Cotto. Cotto would have beaten him at any point. The fact that the king bum Chavez could do anything to Martinez proves how bad his D was.

    Sergio got overconfident in the last round and got caught by the much bigger Chavez.

    when Sergio wasn't a one legged gimp and was able to bend his knees properly, he could slip punches easily or use his feet to stay away from harm.

    but that Sergio started to die right after the Chavez fight

    he was dying in the Murray fight

    He was already dead against Cotto

    His career wasn't dead as in UNABLE TO FIGHT ANYMORE dead before Pac

    Margarito's official retirement was thanks to Pac, the giant killer

    Chavez didn't do that lol Martinez is just getting old. That's just wear and tear.

    Pac puts guys into retirement because they're already on the brink of retirement. Fighting them at the end of their career. He doesn't make these guys retire lol they are just exposed to themselves being old.

    nope....shane mosley unofficially....cotto officially.....nice try though

    nice job beating up a washed up margarito, after he beat roberto garcia, after nearly a year and half layoff....way to go pac....margarito really earned that fight lol!

    He got knocked down in every fight it seemed. The guys defense isn't good and never was. IMO even if he wasn't old he would have been exposed by Cotto. The only other guy he fought that was even nearly as skilled as Cotto was Margarito who stopped him.

    No way man. Margarito was the man. Couldn't find a guy tougher than him. I give Mosely high honors for his defeat of Margarito BUT you could tell that his mind wasn't in the fight. He was scarred ****less of what was about to happen to him after the uncovering of the handwraps controversy.

    thats the biggest crock of **** i keep hearing over and over.....

    if he was "scared shitless"....then he knew....which is the most logical explanation if you think he was "scared"

    if he had no idea...then you guy in there and take care of business and trust the truth will sort itself out.......you walked to the ring....you have a world class fighter across from you trying to bash your head in....take care of business like you were going to 2 hours earlier....such a lame excuse for that guy...."oh his head wasnt in it"......

    he flat out got exposed as a shitty fighter.....nazim knew they were going to kick this guys ass and that margarito was really **** as a fighter....thats why he said days before the fight "if you call margarito a monster...make sure hes still a monster on sunday morning....dont make excuses".....everyone saw how cotto was boxing his face off...he just didnt employ the right strategy to keep margarito off of him......and naz knew it...and knew how to change that.....and cotto adapted in the 2nd fight and worked his ****** ass too

    even if he had some "jitters" about what happened in the dressing room....that **** shoulda disappeared the first time he got punched in the face

    cotto destroyed margarito in that loss. margarito was softened up for shane. shane beat the brakes off of margarito. pac added to it.

    I love how everyone expects the absolute best out of these guys, like they are superhuman and unable to be distracted by anything.

    Margarito lost to Shane because Shane was on steroids and he was terrified that he career was over.

    Margarito was an accused possible cheat, but Mosley was a confirmed cheat yet nobody seems to be able to remember that little detail.
    As far as the rematch with Cotto it would have went the same way, in fact it was starting to go the same way. Cotto did nothing but pivot to the left and punch him in the eye hoping to get a stoppage.

    Pac was laid up for weeks with bruised ribs from the body shots he took, that speaks to how much power Margarito had without wraps. Pac got lucky with the orbital bone early, it was perfect anytime Tony got him on the ropes he punched him in the eye to back him up. Barring that injury that fight could have easily gone the other way.

    Martinez never recovered from Chavez Jr, he defense was his legs its hard to avoid shots when he can't bob and weave the way he always has.
