OMG you're hilarious. Goosen got Ward in the Super 6 and ALL of those fights in CA - except for Froch. Goosen got him Dawsons scalp. No one could have promoted him better, the kid seriously lacks a personality, in case you have not noticed......:rofl:nut:lol:

No one he fights is a PPV fight, he might be the best super middle, but he's as dull as dishwater. He just fought Rodriguez because he couldn't draw a fly to ****.

What a load of bollocks. He's relatively unknown in the US, yet he still averaged over 1 million viewers for his last fight, how many did Shumenov do? I'll give you a hint, despite fighting Bernard Hopkins it still only did 700k. So in what world is Shumenov more popular in America?

Why not take the fight anyway? He'll still make good money and if he does a good job then more money & higher proile fights will follow.

I'm an Andre Ward fan but god does he make it hard to be a fan of his.

Yes Kovalev isn't a PPV fight but neither is any Andre Ward fight that doesn't involve Froch or Chavez Jr who it seems are set to face each other.

He says he wants the big PPV fights, yet criticises his peers for wanting the same, which quite frankly means choosing someone other than him, he simply isn't a draw and won't be unless he fights regularly and takes risks.

He says he's not a light heavy which is why Kovalev is a no go, yet expects GGG to move up, what kind of backwards logic is that?

Ward's career is currently stagnating much like Calzaghe's during his prime years, who I always believed was the best fighter at 168lbs just like Ward. Calzaghe wasted his prime years by not taking risks and just expecting the big stars around him to want to fight him despite him not being a draw back then. Ward is in a similar predicament and is expecting the cash cows to want to fight him when they have little motivation to do so. He has to force these fights and he can't do that on the sidelines.

Agreed. All the talent and absolutely no balls. That's what happens when you have the red carpet rolled out for you when you're not a big star. The way he was pandered to on the super 6 before he'd achieved fuk all was sickening. Now everybody else has to jump through hoops apparently.

The fans are losing respect for him by the day.

Boxing Scene is a joke. Their moderators Reed and Bringer are bigots and their knowledge is ass. Rick Reeno is the biggest *** on that site. **** boxing scene. This forum is way better. Can't trust their googled articles.

I'm a big fan of Ward's, but this BS is getting old and if nobody wants to fight him he needs to move up and challenge himself, because B-hop would.

When has Hopkins ever been a PPV event?

Everytime Hopkins headlines a PPV, it flops.

At this point in Hopkins' career, he should know that. The only way Hopkins will sell is against the right opponent.

In your opinion, what fight is a PPV fight with Ward?

Personally, I wouldn't pay to see ward in any PPV. I'm not a spoiled brat who disrespects his parents.

Your father is a good man. I don't understand why you act like you do.

If he can't get Chavez/Froch, he shouldn't wait for them.
He has the talent. He can be multi division champ and he can still return to 168.
Beating Kovalev/Stevenson/GGG will definitely make him more popular.

Yeah , i think this could do PPV numbers. Kovalev is a big name now and one of the biggest badasses in the sport.

    Just look at recent PPVs.

Canelo-Angulo. Two losers coming off losses.

Cotto-Martinez. Terrible fight against a no legged in-active Sergio at the end of his carrer.

Undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist Ward vs Krusher Kovalev. HBO would hype that fight big time.
