Of course Pac is going to fight yet another one of Floyd's leftovers. Pac waits on the sidelines until everyone beats each other up.

He waited for Margarito, Cotto, Hatton, DLH, Mosley, Rios to all get whooped, then he finds the balls to fight em. The only one he didnt wait for was FEATHER STORM Bradley.

Manny Pacquiao Vs Marcos Maidana is actually a very interesting fight with him giving Floyd the toughest fight in recent memory its perfect for Pacquiao to piggyback off of Floyds name should he be able to beat him . . . . if he cant however . . . .

Maidana has always lost to Faster, more technical fighters than himself. Amir Khan, Andriy Kotelnik, Devon Alexander but it seems to be more the speed than actual fighting ability that he seems to have a problem with . . . . enter Pacquiao

Pacquiao is/was fast and has/had a great chin, fairing exceptionally well against come forward pressure fighters like Maidana and prime for prime . . . id say Manny pulls of a UD win but given his last performance against Timothy Bradley who was outboxing Manny at times (even more evidently than in their first encounter) he seemed to give in and allow Manny to fight his kind of fight despite the fact his speed, power and chin have obviously diminished since his arguable prime from the Hatton/Cotto fights where he looked nigh invincible

Marcos Maidana has improved under Robert Garcia developing a jab and a much more predominant left hook to go along with his signature over hand right, tools that would allow him to deal with Manny a lot easier than he would have done back in 2009/2010

Honestly its a 50/50 pick em fight, where as a Mayweather rematch although enticing is a foregone conclusion that Maidana would be outboxed by a more defensive minded Mayweather . . . . people will argue about that but thats niether here nor there

Overall the fight would be just another case of Manny trying to outdo Floyd with a win reigniting his once failing career and a loss pretty much killing any chance of the fight happening . . . but will it happen? Arum may be more interested in putting on another inhouse fight between Provodnikov who is seen as a bigger threat in boxing circles however has been outboxed by Herrera and just about beaten by Timothy Bradley but given Roach would have to pick sides its hard to say how the split would effect Ruslans performance.

Best Matchups that can be made at 147? (regardless of who promotes them)

    Shawn Porter Vs Kieth Thurman
    Amir Khan Vs Kell Brook
    Manny Pacquiao Vs Marcos Maidana
    Mauricio Herrera Vs Lucas Matthysse
    Danny Garcia Vs Ruslan Provodnikov

Lets see how many of these get made

LOL...Relax kid. Who's mad? This is great for boxing if this fight happens to materialize. After the Floyd/Miadana fight a lot of people said a lot of things....But calling Miadana a "C level" guy is crazy.....Just like those other kuckleheads who claimed Rios was a C level" guy after PAC walked him like a dog in China.

You don't have to explain why you are going on in this thread they way that you are. It wasn't exactly hard to decipher. haha. If we listened to all the over protective "stanley's" that go out of their way to knock a fighter just "because".....We'd have a shortage of fights.

PAC vs Marcos is a great fight and one that might be possible depending on how Marcos is tied to Golden Boy. Real fans of this sport are praying for this fight to come to fruition because it's a recipe for an all out action kind of fight....who doesn't love that?

Some great fights at 147.......I have to say this is a really talent rich division.....and it has a lot of diversity in terms of older vets in the twilight of their careers who are still operating at the highest levels and young guns with tons of promise who are just now in their physical primes. It's a very dynamic division in boxing. You could mix and match all these names and still have stellar fights that are "Must see".

And weeks back, *******s were calling Maidana a C level fighter. No wonder Pac wants to fight him now. Pac's chin isn't as solid as TBE so Pac might get KOd AGAIN for the FOURTH TIME. :rofl
