Ya rumble certainly is up there but the backdrop of that fight made it even better. But from a strictly fight perspective,Lyle vs foreman is much better, Castillo corrales 1, gatti ward 1, hagler hearns. There's just so many.

there was this one fight once....this american named jeffrey lacy traveled across the seas to meet an undefeated legend names joseph calzaghe...lacy was chiseled like a greek god and his hook could make the statue of liberty crumble

unfortunately i dont think lacy every got acclimated over there very well and there are rampant rumors that he was poisoned....not to mention the fight went off at a very odd hour to accomodate the us fans....

calzaghe squeaked by to win a razor close decision...I and many others thought the american was robbed ....but he put on an amazing display of guts and intestinal fortitude that night...it was...what boxing is all about

Different things will appeal to different viewers, so there's no real answer, but my all-time favorite in the thirty-two years I've been watching is Chacon-Limon IV. It was a triumph of the human spirit. Classic matchup between two hated rivals that ended up being decided by a knockdown in the closing seconds of the final round. It gets no better. Here's a highlight thing of it. Basically any portion of the fight looked like this.

Good highlights before my time but I wouldn't class it as the greatest because it dosent look like its much skill looks like brawling most of the fight

The Rumble in the Jungle is not an entertaining fight. Just a good knockout at the end. It is just a one sided beat down.

The greatest fight, in my opinion, of the last half decade or so, is the first match between Giovani Segura and then undefeated future HOF'er Ivan Calderon.
