Its the GOAT for story telling. The fact that ali was asking his corner to cut the gloves as the ref called the fight in the other corner due to joe fighting with one eye (which he had **** vision in to begin with) is awesome. It was the complete ending to their unbelievably entertaining trilogy. To this day I dont understand how Ali was seen by millions as the good guy.

My dad watched morales vs barerra 1 with me and instantly went off about this fight. He had it recorded on vhs and we watched it after...........It boggles my mind how these two dont get mentioned with talks of gatti ward/morales barerra/ castillo corrales

Interesting. I wasnt born when all this was happening, but i watched a show today about the frazier/ali rivalry and i was pretty shocked when i saw ali calling him ugly and a gorilla. I thought ali was a good guy? He was absolutely ripping frazier and mocking him

 

Ali is held up as some savior by the media, but he could be every bit the ******* anyone could be. Even more.

I can't believe that Chavez v Taylor 1 hasn't been mention, by far the best fight I've watched, this fight was the exact meaning of fighting in a phone box, but with great skill, enormous workrate and an unbelievable end, if you haven't seen this fight, take the time because it's well worth it
