Lara is a very good fighter so I don't wanna hear any excuses when canelo beats him

i got canelo winning easily. if lara wins i would be honestly surprised, i feel angulo exposed him pretty good til his eye blew up. i could see where people are coming from if they claim lara was overrated. in my opinion canelo is on his way up skill wise and he won't shut the haters up til he beats another high quality opponent, not really sure who that would be at this point, even if he gets a floyd rematch and pulls it off people will say floyd is shot.

 

I seriously rate Canelo for taking this fight.

I don't even know if Lara was ranked number 1 contender but still balsy no matter what.

Canelo has the right attitude. Badass

 

Carlos Molina is better than both of them.

 

i guess it doesnt really matter how others rate fighters...really just how you rate guys....but it gets confusing and hard to gauge how others rate guys when reading this forum....

on one hand you have guys telling us floyd/lara is a good/tough fight that floyd should look at....on the other hand you have a guy like forza who obviously is not a mayweather fan telling us that lara is a good fighter but hell be easy work for a guy who was easy work for floyd.....confusing

Styles make fights, Lara is a very skilled boxer and floyd hasn't got much power and is also a boxer he is seen as a guy who could give mayweather trouble and that's one of the reasons Lara is rated so highly just because his seen as a hard match up for mayweather

On the other hand Canelo is a hard puncher and tough and considering his recent destruction of a common opponent is rightly seen as favorite

 

Lara is overrated imo but people praise him like his the next Sweet Pea so Alvarez should get credit when he beats him people are so caught up in what they hoped Alvarez would be and discredit what he is a supremely talented boxer that is rapidly improving with nothing but time on his side. I look at like this the only way Lara wins is by running away and trying to potshot for 12 rds I can see Alvarez outboxing Lara or stopping him, a boxing match or a brawl. Lara can only win by staying on the outside and keeping the action low if the fight takes place in the mid/inside range Lara's defense isn't good enough to win him this fight.

As a side note if in fact Canelo is able to beat Lara it should be counted as top win as Forza stated Lara is complex customer in the ring and I actually think theres a good chance he pulls off an impressive win vs Canelo.

 

Alvarez-Trout was a competitive fight that was closer than it should have been due to Alvarez taking the last few rds off after the knockdown(open scoring had Alvarez up 8-0 before the kd), Mayweather is the best boxer in the sport losing to him isn't bad I'm a Mayweather fan an can see Alvarez winning maybe 4 rds people just underrate the performance because he decided to box and not brawl.

Lara has looked bad on multiple occasions when is the last time he put to good fights together Angulo was beating him and was up before the stoppage, Molina/Vanes I guess neither of thoses ugly performances matter.
