with a full training camp he would beat any of them with a bit to spare. Remember at his best he was winning British boxer of the year in front of Calzaghe and Hatton. Yes he wont be at that level, but that level was about 4 or 5 up from these fighters you have mentioned. If he has full training camp will toy with these guys

 

I think these would be winnable fights for Scott tbh, I think he might struggle with the guys above those 2.

Would really like to see him in with the winner of commey and Buckland for the Commonwealth title! That would be interesting to see what he has left!!

Along with Murray, Buckland would be easiest British Class fighter for him as they couldn't trouble him in any area, as they are one dimensional. Harrison loves a toe to toe battle, difference he has excellent footwork and defence, and shot selection to go with it, those guys haven't. Would rather he thought a Buckland or Murray at 2 weeks notice than a quick elusive fighter like Cardle who I think he will fight on the 27th.

 

Mate all those fighters would trouble Scott. Scott would have a chance but would go into these fights as a underdog. We don't know yet if Scott can tough it out with the lightweights. I agree any elusive fighter he will struggle and probably lose so likes of Buckland/ Murray or Mathews is better even Commney. I think we seen against Walsh his work rate isn't what it was. I hope he can get up to the top again as he's always fun to watch.

 

I think people need to be realistic about Harrison's level, he's 37, inactive and has had drink problems. I would like to see his comeback go well but I can't see him beating any of our top lightweights: Burns, Mitchell, Mathews, Gethin, Flanagan, Buckland, Comney, etc.
I agree that he was levels above them back in the day but that is meaningless now because I simply cannot see him being able to maintain the workrate...

 

Scott will come back, get beaten three times and throw the towel in. Too long out of the ring and will get annihilated by any of the top boys at British level, nevermind Europe/World.

 

History says you could well be right,but when he made a brief comeback a while ago he surprised a few people,myself included. I don't think Cardle is as good as Walsh,who Harrison was competitive with,but I agree he'd need a warm up. Then he'd have a fair chance. Anybody in GB but him whoi was coming back apart from him and Id say no,but I remember what he used to be like,and must admit to being a bit intrigued.

 

I hope he comes back and does well, OK, he has acted a helmet recently but I still root for him. Cannot see it though :shock:

 

i honestly think if hes as fit or nearly as fit as he once was, hed take a british title. but no further than that.

 

Totally dominated first half of fight v Walsh ran out of steam later on, but I think a 3 week camp instead of a full one would have been reason for that. I would make Scott the strong favourite v either Buckland or Murray at 1 weeks notice, let alone a full training camp. Think he can beat all the UK lightweights with a full camp

 

Dominate is not the word you should be using!! The first half of the fight was close. Scott didn't dominate at anytime be a bit realistic.. Scott looked a shadow of himself and the younger mans speed outworked him. I think you will be in the minority putting Scott as a "strong" favourite against the fighters mentioned.. I want Scott to beat all these fighters but I have got to be realistic unless he improves drastically from the Walsh fight he will more than likely lose to all of them. Time will tell

 

He did, the only round that was close in first half of fight was first round which he edged. Commendatory was biased towards the Young ****** fighter that he no doubt wanted to win. If he had a full training camp he would have stopped Walsh. Now I know Scott is passed his best, but with a full training camp he would have great fitness, is teak tough, has gr8 boxing brain. If he was a fighter that relied on speed I would be worried but he never did, if he is 50% of his prime he beats them all in UK. That's as much to how good he was as to how overrated our lightweights are (none of them are world class at the moment)

 

What about Harrison v choi ,now that would be a competive fight
