Monaghan is springing up and jaunting in with pecking double jabs, mostly placing them into Muriqi's throat or forehead, blocked when he goes for the middle part of the face. Muriqi flurries and steps in, Monaghan ducks and squats in reverse, springing up with high-low jabs, seizing initiative and forward-moving privileges once more. Rinse and repeat.

Agreed. Muriqi would have taken both the seventh and eighth on the card of anybody who is prone to over-sympathizing with "relative improvement" on their scorecard. (or anyone who likes high but ineffective work rate)

Monaghan is fending off the surge of jabs and clap-up rights by Muriqi, placing his accurate 1-2 and stepping back for room. Monaghan is cut, possibly by a head clash, by the left eye. Muriqi is coming forward aggressively pitching up the overhand right as a lead or behind a flick-out side-arm jab. Monaghan is ducking, dragging to the outside, and greeting Muriqi with jabs and 1-2s.

Round 10

Monaghan is circling out and to his left, dropping his face and swirling it around in small hoops as Muriqi comes fishing with slap-hook lefts and heavy clobbering overhand rights. Monaghan is countering with jabs and 1-2s as he backs up, caught occasionally behind the left ear with a right hand or with a left hook on the cut near his eye. Muriqi keeps the pressure on for an entire three minutes, sometimes jolted with right hand counters but never more than one, and no more combos from Monaghan as he prioritizes never staying put for more than a second. Lots of shots getting through for Muriqi on the back and top of the head, lightly, piling up as Monaghan protects the eye.
