I hope Brian Rose was well paid for last nights embarassment. Feel sorry for the lad. I think its time Eddie starts getting his fighters world title shots where they actually have a chance.

Its making our fighters look like bums. Going over overseas getting their ass kicked in mismatches. It not good :-(

well he gave brian rose a good payday to take a good beating by a man 2 levels above him.
but it does seem british fighters are getting world title shots for nothing and there talent does not warrant it.

Wouldnt Rose by better off fighting at Euro level and waiting for a more suitable title shot to pop up? Its good to fight for a title but when your out of your depth by that margain it becomes unfair and embarassing for the lad.

How did Bri look out there? I missed it. Sounds like he was seriously out of his element, yes?

i agree, because once they have that lucky title shot and lose they realise they aint the best and either retire or never fight with the same heart and will as before, you dont really see fighters earning there title shots anymore and when they lose you dont see them ever want to fight through the ranks again.
clevely and bellew are case in point, they got munched up at light heavy weight. think they should have a world title shot at cruiser in 2 or 3 fights, dont they know their gonna be beaten from pillar to post once again.

It was a mismatch but Brian Rose would never have been able to win a world title imo, he has had his chance, knows his level and can now concentrate on boxing again at his level.

Although completely outclassed he never got a sustained beating for lots of rounds, lots of Andrade's shots early on were hitting the gloves and as soon as there man was in proper trouble his corner stepped in!!

Better to have tried and failed than to not have tried at all

How is it making British fighters look like 'bums'? Boxing has always been an individualistic sport. I'm not fan of Hearn's but he did the best he could for Rose, and gave him an opportunity of a lifetime.

He worked his way up the rankings for a mandatory challenge, unfortunately theres no 'hold' button for a mandatory challenge until an easy world champion comes along, to be the best you have to beat the best.

Rose can still come back to European level except now he has a sizeable sum of money in the bank.

Its unfortunate that the last few examples have been Eddie sending massive underdogs but that is the nature of the beast wehen challenging to be the best in the division.

We wouldnt celebrate the likes of lloyd honeyghan. Randy turpin.if no-one got a chance no one would hav a chance to shine.we all fail at things.the biggest 'embarrassment to a man is not trying in the first place.

He's never going to be a world level fighter.

He got $102k for last night.

    What more do you want?

He fought an excellent fighter in Andrade , he didn't quit no shame in losing to someone like that.

For those moaning about how eddie got him into a position that's far above his talent level don't forget ****** effectively got paul smith to a ridiculous level with the same organisation fighting domestic and lower level opponents

It's the sanctioning bodies and their rankings that dictate who gets a shot. Can't blame Eddie or a fighter for taking the chance. Rose would struggle at Euro level so the opportunity to fight for a world title and get a career high payday is brilliant for him. He was never going to win but the fact he's now a world title challenger makes him more marketable here as well as getting journeyman fights etc.

Anyone who knows anything about boxing knows that these things happen, people get draughted in to be fed to our fighters. I'd say it's only when fighters with hype behind them get a bad beating, what I predict for Kell Brook unfortunately!
