most of them were "keep away from me punches" i agree.

Alexander is the master of this though. Algieri is nothing but an Amateur in comparison.

The ring was small and thus it should have made it easier to limit Algieris movement and to get him on the ropes and open up.

Can't really expect fighters to stand in front of Provodnikov and trade punches.

I like watching a good boxer do his thing. Algieri was entertaining for a guy with no power. I thought Provo won, but it was close. If you don't have power you have to use what you have to try to win and thats what Chris did. Showed a lot of heart and skill and that is a good thing. Again, I thought Provo won, but I don't get all the hate for Algieri

Chris is a good, not powerful, boxer and boxed all night with one eye:!:

I had 114/112 Russian but in the end it was the movement and clean punching from Chris that got the judges:good

This was far from a robbery folks as it was a good and close fight:yep

You can be sure a whole lotta bettors lost dough on that one. Nice to see a guy win that did outbox the Russian.

Ok if Algieri was so ineffective, if his shots were so weak, if he was in such a bad way after the 1st, why couldn't Provo stop him?

You have to start questioning the champion and why he was unable to take this one out of the judges hands right? What kind of world class boxer is unable to walk through pitty pat punches, cut of the (small) ring and ko the one eyed amateur?
