I agree even as a Mayweather fan I think he is somewhat envious of Oscar maybe not so much now but definitely before, I think it's mainly because when Floyd was champion in the early 2000's, Oscar was the ppv star and getting the attention and also he is the only guy that made more money than Floyd in a fight with Floyd, which has never happened in any other Floyd fight maybe the Gatti fight but not sure.
possible reasons now could be mainly the promotions, Golden Boy is the leader and theirs a reason why Floyd uses their services why can't he just self promote with his own promotion company because Goldenboy doing something right, but with schafaer gone I dunno how powerful golden be now,
I also think Floyd's wealth is largely exaggerated I don't think he has $280 million liquid, these net worth websites main look at earnings etc but don't always take into account how much Mayweather blows, even though Mayweather made 105m this year, but tax and expenses, maybe he came away with $55m, hes prob blown $15 million already though, on jets, gambling, and many other expenses.
