manny pacquiao said hed take less......then when floyd calls him he says "50/50 or nothing" and hangs up....how is that taking less...not only did he say 50/50 or nothing...which is obviously not less...he didnt even counter with anything...other than 50/50.....which again...isnt less...and he already walked away from

Well you gotta give credit to Pac who does bring a nice size following and in his own right has had exceptional PPV buys and turnouts.

Now i know Floyd absolutely does better reason why he should get the bigger share but we can't sit here and say Pac won't be bringin a substantial amount of drawing power either.

Both are making this a Mega fight...Pac is the reason its a mega fight too...so i think eitehr option is fair.

 

At the end of the day im sure they both believe that they themselves are the "A side" why not agree to a 50/50 purse and have a set seperate purse for the victor

 

i def agree that saying "oh he has to leave his promoter" is no reason for manny to leave.....but theres a reasons floyd/schaefer did not want to deal with bob...several reasons.....but i dont look at it and say manny should because floyd said so

manny should because arum and koncz do not always have his best interest in mind.....and pacs own lawyer actually advised him to not resign in order to make the big fight....pacs own lawyer said koncz never even showed him pacs last TR contract...he hid it from him

 

Then the 40m offer is just a show. Just to maker him look he wants the fight.

 

No one is denying that Pac has a huge following, but in business terms, this doesn't make financial sense for Floyd.

This is very different from the Lewis/Tyson fight where both split the purse in half 50/50

Lewis was the champion, the better fighter but Tyson brought in the fans. However, Tyson knew that he couldn't make anywhere near that amount without Lewis.

In this case, Floyd is the champion/the better fighter AND brings in more fans.

The numbers don't add up if you're Floyd.

Floyd makes 105 million a year without Pac. There stands no reason he shouldn't take more by a margin.

Ask yourself this, if you were Floyd, would you do a deal like that?

 

Who cares, thats between Manny and TR, if Manny wants to get screwed over by his promotor thats his problem and nothing to do with Floyd and no reason to not make the fight.
