In any other fight when a fighter has an eye like Algieri did, it would have been stopped. The one neutral judge had the fight for Provodnikov, the two local Algieri judges had it for Algieri. Provodnikov made the fight, if not for him there would have been no fight. All other fights that were stopped because of an eye injury, should be rematched ASAP. If you change the rules for one person, then you need to change the rules for all fighters.................there will be a rematch...............

I thought the whole talk going into this fight was "who is willing to die to win it." I guess we got the answer.

A trip to the hospital is routine after a boxing match, mandatory even. A small sacrifice to pay to get a big W on the big stage.

which makes it all the more outrageous that Mago wasn't sent straight to the hospital...

Some people think that a boxing match is the same as a street fight. They don't understand that in sports you have a thing called points.

Algieri SD Provodnikov and Bradley UD Provodnikov are very similar in many ways.

Ruslan floored each opponent twice, but got outboxed in both fights.

Both opponents were seriously injured. Ruslan wasn't.

Both opponents had similar punch-stats: they both threw more, landed more and had a better connect rate.

Both opponents are feather-fisted, but won the fight on workrate.

Thank god your not a judge. That is blatant bias to a style of fighting and disregarding what you don't like.

Chino send Khan for a 3 day visit to the Hospital and Khan won via UD.

Is not about how hard you can hit, is about scoring more and better shots during 12 rds.

Just about every boxer who is in a difficult fight goes to the hospital afterwards.

And the real answer is because in the sport of boxing we judge on more than the look of physical damage. We score on a round by rounds basis.
