Wlad ducks no man, even though he is boring in a lot of his bouts.

 

So if Wlad is 'avoiding' Pulev, then why is he bidding on the fight? LMAOOOO

But i would have preferred an unification bout. They are always the best thing for the sport.

On the other hand, finally Pulev will have his long awaited and well earned payday. No more forced to wait "with his dick swinging in the wind".

 

Wlad can't be accused of ducking, having cleared out the best of a bad division until now (Pulev is literally all that is left, and Povetkin was #2 when Klitschko fought him, and Haye #2 before that when they fought, and Chagaev #2 before that when they fought...and in addition to all these "best available challengers" he took on a slew of guys against whom the outcome may have been a foregone conclusion but who earned their rankings such as Thompson in the rematch and Leapai, as well as guys with padded-up unbeaten records whose achievements were still no less than just about every other top heavy in this weak era - guys like Wach and Pianeta. You can't fault him for his resume, just making lemonade from the lemons he is given...) - BUT you can rest assured Klitschko will be just as negative here as he was against Povetkin. Not that Pulev is as much of a KO threat compared with Povetkin, but in a straight-up boxing match without spoiling and constant holding Pulev does have a style to be competitive...and Klitschko hates being in competitive bouts. He will gladly stink out the joint and lose even more fans winning ugly should it mean squeaking by Pulev, capping off his legacy with another nice cherry and being able to say he beat everyone out there.

Back circa the strong run from 2005-2010, when he was gelling with Steward and really in his prime, he actually was a decent HW champ to watch IMO. Basically from around Peter I (maybe as far back as TOS) to Peter II. Even in the mismatches, he took care of business and closed the show, even getting away from his basic predictable yet effective 1-2 at times, like when he left hooked Austin into oblivion. From about Haye on, his entertainment value - and effectiveness using true boxing skills as opposed to spoiling tactics - has plummeted. It has been mostly refusal to engage from mid-range in, keeping everyone on the end of his jab, clinching like his life depended on it otherwise. I don't care for 2011-present Klitschko, no.

Wlad would not of fought him unless he was certain he could shut the fight down from round 1 to round 12 and thats exactly what he done.
