    Yep, at that time Brähmer was World Champion.
    He did not fight Cleverly because he was not paid from Universum fpr it.
    He already had one fight without Universum paid him anything before, then a second where they paid much less as they promised. So after he knew he would not get any money from Universum for fighting Cleverly he did not want to fight.
    For me a good reason. It was his job and he should get paid for it. Why fighting if you dont get any money?
    So before you say Brähmer is a joke maybe you should know more about the whole situation.:patsch

    Cleverly wont do ****, he will be WBO chUmp and then lose to first elite fighter he faces...Ward beats him easy, Dawson, Kovalev both beat him...

    Provided Ward doesn't move up and Dawson becomes/became shot he could unify the division, but this is mainly down to the extreme lack of competition and the fact Hopkins is approaching 50.

    Cleverly was one of if not the worst titlist in boxing above bantamweight during his reign.

    because he lost to Kovalev?

    Kovalev is the best at the weight, so losing to him is no biggie.

    Cleverly would have beaten Hopkins without a shadow of a doubt. he was all wrong for Bernard and he knew it.

    too much work rate coming at him, and not enough power to stop it from happening.

    Bernard has picked his competition with a calculated mind.
