lomachenko vs salido/cole was a close fight. lomachenko almost got them out of there in the closing rounds. a rematch with any other ref ends with salido getting stopped.
OK... First of all, I agree that it is odd to see people score body shots as SIGNIFICANTLY better blows than head shots. It all depends on how they land, but in general, I don't get it. And I love body shots... Sort of like how I don't see how you can score Mayweather/Castillo I for Castillo unless you value body shots as way more relevant blows than head shots. That fight is the perfect example of one boxer landing almost exclusively to the body and the other to the head. But Salido pressured and actually showed better defense while outlanding Loma. And while many shots were low, many were on the waist band and if the ref doesn't cite them as fouls, then they are landed body shots. I scored the fight almost dead even but slightly to Salido. It was certainly close. Salido coming in over weight is highly lame, but once again, Loma could have chosen to cancel the fight.
Lomachenko is/was the superior fighter but he was arrogant. He had to put the peddle to the metal and step it up earlier. He definitely waited too long.

Had Loma only thrown and landed 25 jabs/rd, he would have won the fight. The boy is lazy or very confused.
Not sure about that. Another ref might not have allowed Loma to clinch so much allowing Salido more opportunities to hurt him. The excessive holding had alot to do with Salido tiring towards the end. I agree, though, that 'Chenko would probably be the odds-on favorite in a rematch.
Yep the excessive holding by Loma was just as ridiculous if not more so than Salido's not making weight and throwing all those low blows. Loma has zero inside game so he just clinches every time the fight goes inside.
How busy can you be on the inside when your opponent is leading with his head, stepping on your feet and is banging away at your nuts? Lomachenko wasn't on the outside when he rolled Ramirez up with that body shot.
Salido wasn't doing anything himself. Those body punches that were supposedly landing were actually NOT landing in reality. Salido was landing low blows; Lomachenko was hugging. However, Lomachenko outlanded Salido and boxed pretty well considering he was fighting Salido's fight. And it was Lomachenko who was pounding Salido in the championship rounds. Lomachenko won that fight 7-5.
LOL. This is the sport called, Boxing. If an opponent is rushing in head first, you can; 1) Use your jab (Which Loma didn't do) 2) Use Uppercuts to top heavy opponent (which Loma didn't do) 3) Allow him to rush in, then grab and hold him (Loma did this all night) if your opponent is stepping on your feet then I guess his ring generalship is just better than yours since he knows where his feet are while you do not. As far as the low blows: Are you saying that Loma lost the fight due to Saildo's low blows?:huh
Salido won but I felt if Lomo would have stepped on the gas earlier he would have knocked Salido out Salido barley survived the last few rds
