    In other news, Kevin McBride demonstrated a much improved level of Ring Generalship and footwork in taking apart the still-dangerous Mike Tyson.

    Some commentators churlishly downplayed McBride's improvements and brilliant performance that evening, citing a decline in Mike's physical condition.

    Still, Kevin put on a clinic on Tyson-busting, and I expect he'll soar to even greater heights in the HW division in the near future.

    The article forgot to add how good someones footwork can look when their opponant is basically fighting on one leg.

    Moving around an immovable object.

    Cotto looked spectaculair, but a very big reason was Martinez being almost as shot as Williams was against Ali, not in the stomach but in the knees.
    He should have introduced the "Cotto shuffle" in there for historic lineage sake.

    :rofl:lol::good

    Sometimes Ruebusch has interesting technical insights, but even during the postfight podcast thing he was hell-bent on making this out to be a Cotto beatdown while disregarding everything about Martinez.

    It's crazy how good one's footwork can be when boxing someone who can't move.

    :rofl You guys are too predictable. You guys make it seem that someone just has to show up to win. Neglecting what you see in the ring to suit your excuses.

    Cotto has improved, don't get me wrong. The way he fought that night, he might have won regardless. But if Martinez was healthy, it'd be a more competitive fight.

    To say Martinez couldn't move is ridiculous, he couldn't move as well as we are use to seeing but he could still move around. And remember cotto is also supposed to be shot to **** too

    Cotto was never shot. People just said that to discredit certain others. Martinez's lack of mobility played a part in his defeat although I wouldn't say it's THE reason he was defeated.

    Kneeguel still looked like the same old slow, plodding club fighter to me.

    Money ruined him in that fight and especially in the 12th round where he could have knocked his ass out if he wanted to.
