padded as .150 odd ranked SMW fighting at LHW Berridge in 1 if he doesn't carry him for a few rounds. Waste of time for a fighter of Berridges calibre.

You would imagine so. However, i have absolutely nothing against him for not fighting Taihi. Taihi called him out with nothing to lose but everything to gain, Berridge had everything to lose and nothing to gain.

Taihi is not a worthy opponent for Berridge. He is definitely not worth Sky Arena $. The only reason he got the shot seems to be out of frustration from Berridge after Taihi's associates are rumoured to have stolen Robbie's car while he was in Aus fighting Foley.

 

"Taihi is not a worthy opponent for Berridge" Whats this new bloke? He is a cab driver at best. At least people in NZ know who Taihia is but now they will get feed a bloke who wont last 2 rounds with Berridge.

 

Many in New Zealand dont actually know who Taihia is. That is not the point though, regardless of the fact that Damasco has a padded record, he is an international fighter, Berridge is trying to work his way to Kovalev. Fighting Taihia is not going to get him any closer to that goal.

Not that it really matters, but Damasco also has the South American super middleweight title, so there should be a reasonably good following from his own fans. More so than the Taihia fans in New Zealand.

 

I will put this out there now, THERE WILL NOT BE 20 PEOPLE FROM BRASIL COME TO SUPPORT THIS GUY. I like Berridge, I like his all action style, hes never in a boring fight but this is hardly going to smoke Kovalev out of his hole fighting an unheard of South American who is ranked 206 in the world.

At times what doesn't look good on paper, can turnout totally different. Sit back, relax & wait for outcome

 

We know very well the truth about these brazilian fighters. 99% of them have no skills, but a very good looking record against poor opponents. I dont think, that Damasco is different.

I will never understand this, because brazil has a lot of strong amateurs. But for some reason, they have also the worst pro fighters.

 

And this fight, ON PAPER, Looks reasonable but in actual fact is a joke of a fight.
