First, Trout boxed cotto, he didn't consistently crowd and smother him. Also, it would have been difficult for trout to implement Molina's tactic against Lara because that's not his strength.

The Delvin Rodriguez vs Freddy Hernandez fight was stopped on cuts. Although, Lara didn't stop him, he beat the hell out of the Hernandez.

I know Trout boxed Cotto, I should have said similar to the way he fought Cotto, he pressured and occasionally smothered when he tied up Cotto late in the fight. I'm not sure Trout would have the tools to beat Lara at all, that being said he fought the wrong fight when he did.

Delvin stopped him a stoppage is a stoppage. Lara bloodied him up bad and did a number on him, but he didn't stop him, they probably should have stopped the fight but they didn't.

My point was Lara is overrated, he struggles every time he steps up, Angulo, Martirosyan, Molina, and they're not big steps up.

Canelo is overrated as well but I like him more.

Every stoppage is not the same. The fight was stopped as a result of an accidental headbutt.

Lara just might be overrated, but to say that he has struggled everytime he has stepped up is inaccurate. His fights with Trout and Williams were step ups, but he dominated both. Also, who's to say that Angulo, Martirosyan, and Molina weren't big step ups. Just because they aren't huge names and have losses doesn't mean that they can't provide serious stylistic problems to some fighters out there (even elite ones). At the end of the day, styles, in relation to a fighter's physical attributes, makes fights.

:huh Lara was knocked down by a slower, less skilled fighter with about the same pop!

Because Canelo head hunts too much and he tires quickly.

So you'll be surprised if one of those "head hunting shots" connects with Lara?

I agree with you here, Canelo has far better defense than Perro, and far better combinations, and he's claiming he's going to fight him like Angulo.

Lara's body is vulnerable, every knockdown he suffered was set up by and an Angulo body shot. If Canelo can go to the body early he def has a chance of a late stoppage. I would prefer KTFO, however.

Angulo is slower and less skilled than Canelo, but Canelo doesn't have the same punch resistance or stamina that Angulo has.

Let me ask you this: who's the more skilled and faster fighter out of Canelo and Maidana? Now, who did better against Mayweather?

I'm not saying that Canelo can't win or even ko Lara, but you have to take certain things into consideration.

I dont know what u mean by Canelo doesnt have the punch restistance of Angulo. could u please expalin. and who says Canelo might need alot of Stamaina?? I think he KO's Lara within 6 rounds honestly, Lara's defense sucks.

yes style makes fights but if Angulo can drop lara and is alot slower then canelo can kill lara. yes different fighters but Canelo will watch that Angulo fight and fight something like that. put pressure but be way more accuract and percise
