Maidana is bigger than Matthysse and more unpredictable and unorthodox. Madiana throws looping shots that are hard to time and anticipate and much fights more roughhouse.

Matthysse punches straighter and more technical, but it also makes him more predictable.

I wouldn't say Maidana is a better fighter than Matthysse, but he'd be easier for Floyd

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr said a month before Mayweather vs Maidana that Maidana would be tougher than Cotto stylistically for the reason I listed above.
