    Excuse after excuse.

"Garcia won because he came close to punching Matthysse eye out of his socket" :|

"Garcia won because the ref was cheating" :|

"Garcia won because that knockdown was bogus" :|

If we are talking about fights that could realistically be made, I believe Lara would present the toughest matchup for him. That said, Erislandy would obviously have to get by Canelo first...and be dominant in the process...before even being considered. Besides Lara, the only other realistic matchup that might be difficult would be Charlo, but he would have to string together some impressive wins for that to happen.

A name you won’t be hearing from Garcia as his next opponent is Mauricio Herrera, as Garcia was arguably beaten by the Mexican fighter last March but was given a 12 round majority decision in a fight that took place in Garcia’s parent’s home country of Puerto Rico. Garcia said after the fight that he felt he won by 8 rounds to 4, but boxing fans as a whole picked Herrera as the better fighter in that one. Instead of wanting to clear up the controversy, Garcia is moving on to face other opponents. He did the same thing with the Matthysse fight, which was one that was going against Garcia until Matthysse suffered an eye injury.
