Jim Jeffries The Iron Man,teak tough, powerful ,and a heavy hitter, impervious to punishment in his prime. His best opponents as champion were, imo; Bob Fitzsimmons Jim Corbett Tom Sharkey Take each of these and say they are prime. How do they do against Wladimir Klitschko at his best?
Wlad would literally kill a 165lb fighter like fitz who fought with his hands low. One right hand lights out
again no one has invented the time machine so if we brought Vlad back in time he may fare as well as the big men of the day or be a smaller lighter man. Present day Vlad better murder all of them at least as easy as he did to Mormeck but bring the antiques forward and they are born today they either would be bigger or fighting in the correct division for there weight. By the way all were better than Mormeck and Chambers in the one fight I saw at 175lbs recently
I'm a fan of the old timers but I also have to be realistic. Vlad would destroy these fighters. Too much size and skill. He uses his height well and makes good use of his jab. Jeffries fought out of a crouch that brought him within range of his opponents punches. Vlad fights straight up and leans back which makes him harder to hit. At 6'5" with an 80" reach and a safety first style, I can't see these fighters reaching him. This is one time where I have to admit that size would matter when it's combined with skill.
None of those guys get out of the first round. I doubt they would survive he first 2 minutes with Wlad.
Such a skilled big man-& he is 6' 6.5" with an 81" reach, not 6' 5" 80" wingspan-would overwhelm these much smaller men. Or fight them cautiously but break them down, at best maybe not KO all 3.
Yeah, probably, but Fitz has the power to KO him and is a legitimate trapsmith. So you would have to put all your money on Wlad, but if you were gonna back one of these guys to beat him at long odds it would be Fitz.
