The other Klitschko would stand a better chance against a guy like Liston.

The other Klitschko never proved himself in the ring to be an all time great fighter like Wlad has.

I am in agreement, but on the styles I agree with Cuch.

It's funny how you know a certain degree of history and written facts but really know little about the sport. The fact that he developed a safety first style and fights in the most frightened style I have ever seem in any division and to his credit has succeeded does not change the fact that he has a weak chin, Guys like Roy Jones and Benny Leonard went huge portions of their careers without getting hit as well .. His chin is poor, his scarred , safety first style has been successful but would not hold up against the best , no way. he's be hit and exposed.

I have Wlad in my alltime top 10, and Vitali scraping the top top 20.

But h2h, prime Vitali was better.

A Vitali-Sonny bout would be a war and one, contrary to most folks, where I would give Vitali a tiny edge.

Wlad would be facing one of the few men in the sport whose jab was equal to, or greater than, his own.

I really don't see Wlad having the mental toughness to hang with prime Sonny.

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Lewis

Sonny Ibeabuchi would have been a fight I would of paid through the nose to see.

So many klitschko fans around the forum.Maybe they are busy by the summer feeling.
To me wladimir klitschko is a full time political-correct cherry-picker.
I think these were his some opponents' age:
    -Mercer 41 years old.
    -Thompson(second time),Botomawungu 40 years old
    -Mormeck 39 years old.
    -Vujecic,C.Sanders 37 years old.
    -Rahman,Tony Thompson(first fight),D.Williamson
    Wingfield,Pritchard,Nicholson,Wills,Austin 36 years old.
Show me similar old boy list by other fighters' carrier !
    It's impossible.
-W.Klitschko never beat a good fighter.
-Two fat bums Purity and Sanders destroyed him in his prime.
The fat mediocre Brewster destroyed him in his prime
-His best wins are the skinny and glass-chinned Haye by points and
    the fat Povetkin by points.
He couldn't knock decent fighters out.
He can knock bums out like Pianeta,Leapai or Mormeck.
    - I think wladimir klitschko never was undisputed champion.
W.klitschko can/could beat only unathletic and or unskilled fighters.
-I think this wladimir is a ridicolous coward: Who was his most dangerous opponent?
The skinny glass-chinned Haye? Muhaha! What a boring and pathetic win by points!
I think Golota had good and real dangerous opponents(prime Bowe, prime Lewis, decentTyson) at least.
Golota was far better than this coward,well-managed propaganda "fighter" wladimir.

-Nothing proves wladimir klitschko's greatness. But we can laugh at this joke(wladimir
    or vasili klitschko) at least.
-But his carriers shows clearly(The haye thing is so impressive) he is far better than the combined Louis,Marciano,Ali,Foreman,Holmes,Tyson,Lewis... or not.

i started to read the post but they confused me more with personalities than anything constructive.
Ali at his best had the style to beat Liston. Louis too, faster, more adaptable. Frazier, Styles, I don't think so. Foreman, yeah, I know their history but big young George?
Marciano, You know, I think without confidence, brings him to the trenches and drowns him but I'm not sure. Dempsey he kills, the Klits? Wlad, I think with his jab he gets close enough some tine to flatten, Vitali to survive ropey moments and win.
Lewis is frightened, meets him headlong, a la Ruddock, Golota. Grant and flattens him. Tyson massacres him and Holy wins a war of attrition. Bowe? maybe Sonny's out game is to-good. The rest? liston beats them all but Johnson might mess his head,

Yes his(coward w.klitschko's) "frightened" style works against bums and/or has-beens or other "frightened" fighters.
    But against a Louis,Dempsey,Tyson,Holmes,Ali,Marciano,Bowe,Tucker,Lewis,
    Mercer,Ibeabuchi,Holyfield,Foreman,Ruddock,Bruno,McCall,Douglas,Valuev,
    Jack Johnson,James Smith,Witherspoon,Spinks,Lyle,Carnera,M.Baer,Shavers,Liston etc.
type fighters?I talk about the prime versions. I doubt it.
